Our before & after school program is offered for children ages 5-12 on regular school days. We also offer full-day programs for all out of school days and camps during school breaks, including Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Camp.

Before & After Care

Learning and fun continue beyond the school day. Our school-age program, for children ages 5–12, is designed to match children's growing independence and expanding abilities. Students enjoy sports, games, and arts and crafts while forming friendships and working together. A quiet space for homework helps build focus and responsibility, while giving families peace of mind as they balance work and child care.

Summer Camp

Each day at our summer camp is a thrilling new adventure. Campers dive into hands-on activities, from science exploration to creative and performing arts, sports, and games. We offer a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor activities, special guests, and on-campus events. Our camp leaders set a positive example and create a warm, friendly place where every child feels welcome and supported. Your child will gain confidence, learn new skills, and come home eager to tell you all about their day!

Private Kindergarten

At The Merit School, we have a platform that allows each child to be immersed in a positive and enriching environment. This positive space promotes a confident child self-image, encourages independence, and sets a specific educational path to meet academic goals based on the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLS). Our private kindergarten curriculum places a heavy emphasis on reading and writing as well as incorporating math, science, social studies, and critical thinking skills.
