Infants

Babies have unique needs and schedules, and LGLA’s caregivers are experts at making them and their families comfortable and engaged. Enjoy a low infant-to-staff ratio of 4:1 with trained care providers who offer consistent, loving attention. Rest easy with personal cribs that meet Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission standards as well as separate changing, eating, and play areas, with cleaning/disinfecting standards that exceed state licensing sanitary requirements. Before & After School Care

The Village Early Learning Center offers an exceptional after-school program that combines guidance and security with opportunities for independent exploration to give K-5th graders both the freedom and the structure they need. Our proprietary ANTS curriculum focuses on Arts, Nature, Teambuilding and Sports for a truly unique and fun out-of-school-time experience. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) are woven into the curriculum as well, and transportation to our program from several different area schools is offered during the academic year (August-May).

Summer VPK Program

The Village Early Learning Center is proud to offer Summer VPK. Designed for students who will be entering kindergarten in the Fall and who have not yet attended the Florida VPK Program, Summer VPK at The Village offers an excellent opportunity for children to start kindergarten with the knowledge and skills that will help them have a successful kindergarten experience. Summer VPK students benefit from highly qualified professional teachers and engaging, well-equipped classrooms. A nutritious lunch and two healthy snacks are included at no additional cost. Tuition and supplies are covered by the VPK program, and early drop off and extended learning hours are available for an additional fee. Registration must be made in person at The Village Early Learning Center. The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:11, and teachers have a bachelor degree or higher, as well as teaching certification. Enrollment for Summer VPK begins in January of each year and closes when the class reaches capacity.

School Age Care

Children 5 - 12 enjoy our thematic approach using high interest topics and student generated lessons and activities. Our large play yard provides a perfect environment for teacher guided, group sports and outdoor activities.

Preschool

Children 2-5 years of age will use our hands-on, age-appropriate curriculum offering math, science, art, and language activities that provide valuable experiences for our anxious learners as they prepare for the adventures of kindergarten.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is all about exploring the world around us and learning about people, places, and things that many of us have only seen on TV or in books. Campers have the flexibility to select from a variety of exciting topics that will take them on incredible journeys to far-off destinations where they will learn about people such as Louis Armstrong, places like the Great Wall of China, and things such as the Eiffel Tower! Through the use of instructional scaffolding, which allows students of mixed grade levels to interact and work collaboratively, students excel past the confinements and limits set by the traditional grade level system. In order to create this adaptive learning environment we offer limited class sizes and a closely followed teacher/student ratio. Each student in the program receives a customized education plan, known as an Individualized Learning Portfolio, that creates a personalized map for each student’s academic strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
