Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

To us, it feels like our infants are running off to Kindergarten in the blink of an eye. Thankfully, we have the opportunity of continuing to care for our students and watch them grow even after they go off to Kindergarten in our School-Age Classrooms! In our school-age classrooms, we encourage our students to continue their social and academic development; before and after school, in the summer, and on days when their schools are closed. Before and after school program focused on the developmental areas of: creative expression, community, literacy, inquiry-based learning, character development, and executive function. Daily routine includes: time for puzzles and games, science, math and construction, library, and creative arts. Teachers will also provide help with homework. Your child will have the opportunity to start clubs, create projects, and become a junior leader. Program provides daily physical activity and snacks.

Kindergarten

Our Montessori kindergarten program has been a cornerstone since 2008, preparing children for academic success through leadership development and advanced skill-building in math, reading, and writing. Graduates consistently excel in mainstream schools, often placing in accelerated programs. We offer both half-day and full-day options, with half-day requiring one prior year in our preschool. This crucial year allows children to integrate years of hands-on learning, reaching new levels of independence and academic mastery before first grade.

Summer Program

At Sonnet we take advantage of sunshine filled days and warm weather to allow children to enjoy and explore the outdoors by visiting the playground and the neighboring park, taking hikes, exploring the woods and even bringing our Montessori work outdoors! We also create a fun-filled summer by exploring themes carefully selected to be both fun, educational and encourage creative thinking. Themes are introduced throughout the day in both group presentations and individual exploration opportunities. Each two or three week session features hands on activities or experiments, projects, artwork, and field trips or in house workshops. Every Friday, weather permitting, is “water day” at Sonnet Montessori! Bring an extra change of clothes for your child as they will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities using water.

O2B Summer Camp offers FUN first to every child every day, and your child’s learning will never stop. Our integrated activity approach offers subjects such as Art, Science, Technology and Sports PLUS Neighborhood Time, Team-Building and weekly Themed Events. Make this the summer your child will remember forever! Weekly tuition includes lunch, snacks, field trips, shirt and a backpack!

Kindergarten
