Infants
Our infant program is available for children ages six weeks to twelve months of age. Depending on individual development, children may move to the next class before or after their first birthday. Our primary goal for the infants is to provide individualized, responsive and supportive care for each child. Our staff develops close bonds with the infants and ensures stimulation in physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Daily reports are provided to each parent to inform them of the day's explorations, feeding, diapering, and sleeping activities. Our staff members ensure that each child is cared for as well as interacting with the child throughout the day. The children are introduced to hands on activities that develop gross and small motor skills. Physical development is promoted by helping the child during the stages of rolling over, sitting, crawling, pulling up, and walking. Their curriculum follows the Georgia Early Learning Standards.
Two Year Olds
LPC has two busy and curious two year old classes, The Terrific Twos. These classes are divided between the younger two year olds, who are not potty trained, and the older two year olds (and some younger three year olds), who are potty trained. We believe, as in all ages, our two year olds should be encouraged to learn and explore at their own pace and skill level. Providing potty trained and not potty trained two year old rooms allow time for potty training the children who are ready to accomplish this skill. This also allows the children who have mastered the skill of potty training to move on to other social and academic horizons. The children are exposed to a wide array of activities that increase cognitive and physical development. Every day includes activities such as; music, stories, outside fun, games, and more.

Infants
Hummingbirds: We understand that infants need nurturing, and parents need to feel secure knowing their child is in good hands. Our infant teachers are hand-picked natural caregivers who focus on meeting the individual needs of every child. While your child is in our care, you can rest assured that they will receive the attention and interaction they need and deserve. Recognizing that structure is essential to both infants and parents, our teachers will work with you to create a schedule, so your infant’s time away from home is as close to home as possible. Our hummingbird curriculum also includes our Global Gull American Sign Language Program. Most young children begin to talk around 12 months old, while some infants even try to communicate with their parents and caregivers even earlier! One way of helping our young children express their feelings, wants, and needs without crying and frustration of a lack of understanding from adults is through simple sign language, commonly known as ‘Baby Core Signs.’ These core signs include words like milk, sleep, play, all done, more, mother, father, etc.
Older Toddlers
Our Cardinal program supports older toddlers and their increased independence, exploration of emotions and feelings, and fast-developing use of language. We also understand and support their continued desire to explore everything about their world. We believe our play-based philosophy and learning center structure gives them the best opportunity to do this. Activities such as ice painting or sorting objects by color will stimulate your child’s inquisitive mind. While in a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment, our program is designed to encourage individual creative expression through your child’s own strengths and interests and foster a passion for learning! Our Cardinals curriculum also includes our Global Gull American Sign Language Program.
