Three Year Olds

3 yr - 3 yr 11 mo

Our three year old program is primarily for children who turn three before September 1st and who are totally potty trained. The Exceeds Curriculum and the Georgia Early Learning Standards are used to implement instruction with many activities and learning components. Our program is a structured, child centered, and hands-on learning environment. As the children are continually building on academic and social skills previously introduced, they are introduced to new skills such as writing, problem solving, and cooperative and individual learning activities. The children enjoy playing in centers such as dramatic play, science, manipulatives, library, blocks, and art. The following areas are part of the daily schedule; Physical Development, Social and Emotional Development, Language and Literacy Development, Cognitive Development, Transition Activities, Independence and Hygiene. The three-year-olds have access to outside play and other various activities on a daily basis.

Georgia Pre-K

4 yr - 4 yr 11 mo

Little People’s Corner participates in the four year old Georgia Pre-K Program. The Georgia Pre-K Program is a lottery funded educational program that prepares four year olds for Kindergarten. LPC has two Georgia Pre-K classes. Each four year Pre-K class has two teachers. The lead teachers in the Georgia Pre-K program are state certified and have a degree in Early Childhood Education. The assistant teachers are certified as a Child Development Specialist and have over 20 years of experience each. The four year old programs use an age appropriate curriculum along with the Georgia Early Learning Development Standards to provide the foundation for learning in classrooms as teachers use these and other resources to plan instruction and activities for the children. The classrooms have learning centers set up and each center is supplied with books, learning materials, and activities. Typical learning centers in a Pre-K classroom might include math, blocks, reading, art, science, dramatic play, writing, and music.

At The Goddard School®, we recognize that classrooms are made up of many unique children and teachers work to create engaging, innovative, play-based lessons with the interests and needs of every child in mind. Through the power of asking a question, your child will learn how to seek answers and advocate for themselves in the classroom. The Wonder of Learning™ curriculum takes your child's natural curiosity and encourages them to ask even more questions because asking questions fuels learning.
