Intermediates

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. Our Links to Learning curriculum also helps children develop independence, practice social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions, and build strong friendships. We also foster appreciation for diversity to create an inclusive, caring community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering classroom readiness skills, nurturing social-emotional growth through our character education program, and strengthening literacy and math skills. With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we offer additional academic rigor.

Bridge Classroom

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development. In this classroom, our Wonder of Learning™ education program supports children's independence as they continue to build skills necessary for handwriting and drawing with increased intentionality, learn foundational math concepts and build strong vocabularies.

FLA helps your three- and four-year-olds master age-appropriate activities, gain gross- and fine motor skills, and learn to socialize and follow rules. Our Children’s House preschool and pre-K program lays a strong foundation for academic and social success by honoring each child’s natural drive to learn. In this mixed-age Montessori environment, children explore subjects like math, language, science, and geography through hands-on materials and individualized lessons. The daily routine also includes real-world activities—such as preparing snacks or watering plants - that build independence, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Pre-Primary (Preschool)

Our Pre-Primary class ranges in age from 2 to 3 years. At this age, children are challenged with trying to communicate their ideas and emotions. We give them the tools they need to navigate through this stage. Each child is treated as an individual, with their own ideas, expressions, and opinions. We provide outlets that represent the child’s many “languages.” These can include drawing, painting, sculpture, shadow play, dramatic play, scientific observations, gardening and music. We strive to know the child and develop the emergent curriculum to support their personalities.

Primary (Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten)

Our Primary class is a mixed age group ranging from 3 years to 6 years. Our program recognizes that children learn best by their own experiences. We offer a hands-on learning environment, rich with materials designed to engage their imaginations. It is important to us that our students focus on the process of learning, not the product. With our Traditional Preschool Program, you select the number of sessions you would like, which days of the week, and whether you would like mornings or afternoons. We have amazing preschool teachers that utilize the terrific Creative Curriculum®system. This method leverages children’s natural curiosity to explore and learn more about the world around them. Our sessions are a little longer than most preschools – 3 hours – to allow for more learning time. If you need care before or after preschool, you can transition into or out of our Flexible Childcare program to meet your needs.

2-Year-Olds

At Ivybrook Academy, we understand that the age of two is a time of wonder and rapid growth. Our half-day program is thoughtfully designed to nurture your child’s natural curiosity, support their developmental milestones, and foster a love for learning.
