Elementary

Our elementary-level Montessori program focuses on developing students through an innovative curriculum that includes nine areas: Language, geography, history, biology, music, mathematics, art, physical education, and cosmic education.

Kindergarten

In Stratford’s kindergarten program, students tackle math, grammar, phonics, and reading in the morning, while afternoon sessions feature music, writing, Spanish, and science several times each week. Kindergarten students learn to explore subjects more deeply – allowing for greater understanding, more critical thinking, and analysis. Kindergarteners begin formal recitation to develop public speaking skills, and teachers use poetry, music, and reading aloud to promote students’ self-assurance in front of a group. Children's House Kindergarten

Kindergarten in the Montessori Children’s House is a pivotal year where learning comes to life. As the leaders in their mixed-age classroom, children deepen their academic understanding and grow in independence, confidence, and collaboration. With guidance from trained Montessori teachers, students choose their work and engage in hands-on materials across subjects like math, geography, language, and practical life. In the morning, we’re here for you to drop off your child at your convenience, and we provide transportation to their elementary school for their half-day kindergarten program. Then, we’ll pick them up and bring them back to spend the afternoon with us.
