School Age

Voyagers (5 years old to 12 years old): The Voyagers Classroom is designed to meet the unique needs of school-aged children. Most activities are child-led, which means students focus on their interests and move easily between activities. The children in this classroom get a balance of flexibility and structure—they have the time and space for schoolwork and fun with games, activities, and outside time. School-age children in the Voyagers Classroom will do homework in a quiet area and be provided with help as needed, enjoy learning stations for STEM, sensory explorations, and building challenges, and join in organized outdoor activities (kickball, soccer, tag-related games) plus reading and arts and crafts. Homework Assistance

We know that homework completion, accuracy, and understanding are of top priority for parents with children in after school care. Our tutors offer guidance and assistance with homework and have additional exercises for each child to work on based on his/her individualized plan.

School-age children need a place to go after school to release, relax, refuel, and reflect on their day. The KC Country Club gives your school-ager just that place. A safe environment that includes healthy and fun snacks, games, the staffed Homework Room, outside playtime, quiet spots for reading and journaling, art, and music. What kid wouldn’t want to be at the KC Country Club? Before-school care is relaxed and encouraging. Children come in, choose their favorite foods from the breakfast buffet, and have the chance to ease into the day. Transportation to local schools is provided.

Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.
