Parent Reviews
My daughter started at KinderCare a little over a year ago and I’ve been nothing but impressed with the experience. I was apprehensive when we started as we had just left a bad daycare experience. However, within the first week all my worries were washed away. Right away I could see the love and attention my daughter was receiving, including the fact that even the teachers from other classrooms knew her name. After being there a short time, I really noticed my daughter blossoming and excelling. The infant teacher always took the time to talk to me; telling me what my daughter was doing at school and hearing what she was doing at home. In one of these conversations, the infant teacher told me that she was glad I told her what my daughter did at home because it helped her identify where she was developmentally, so that she could work with her at the right level. This impressed me greatly. Not only was my daughter being engaged but the teacher was taking the time to individualize the developmental activities to what my daughter needed and not based solely on her age. This attention to individual needs continued with everything else I saw at the center, from making sure kids were full (2 servings if still hungry) to extra art time for those kids who are sensory and love art. This is all balanced with structure, manners, laughter, games, and lots of love. I honestly wonder how they manage to get all this done and still get through diapers, potty training, changes of clothes for outdoor play, and cleaning the room. If only I could find a way to balance all this at home. Lastly, but not least, I am a huge fan of the cultural and economic diversity at the center. The staff and directors at this center are full of energy, truly care for the children, and are always willing to make time to talk. My daughter loves going to “school” everyday, we are comfortable and happy knowing she is well cared for.
After interviewing many day care centers and home day care providers, we were very happy when we toured the KinderCare center in Eden Prairie on Aztec Drive. It was apparent from the tour and other parents’ testimonies that the center we chose has a director and staff who are dedicated to doing a great job. Our daughter has been there for over a year now and we have not had one moment of regret. Having had our daughter in another school first really made us appreciate the job the KinderCare staff does. Our daughter has obviously benefited from the care and attention that she has received at KinderCare. I am amazed by how much she has learned and developed every week. I am glad we are doing this for our daughter and am confident she would not receive the same level of care at any other school or day care provider.
Our daughter is now three and she still loves it there. By the end of a weekend at home with us she is asking for us to bring her back to school so she can see her friends and teachers. She is also well educated and socially confident. We enrolled her in the Music and Phonics classes offered at KinderCare. Our pediatrician always comments how advanced she is and how well she is progressing. The consistent structure used with their curriculum help shape our child’s cognitive, physical, and social development. Most importantly they work with you on what YOU want your child to learn and what is most important to YOUR family. It only works if you are just as involved as your child’s educator is with your child’s education. We are fully confident and comfortable with the fact that our child will have no problem being prepared when she has to attend Kindergarten in a few years.
