Parent Reviews
My 23-month-old son has been attending KinderCare since he was six months old. It was very difficult for us to leave our only child in another person's care. When we toured the center, the director was infectious with her enthusiasm and love for children. We also met the infant caregiver, who has been at the center for over 27 years! Since then, we've been very happy with the center's director and entire staff. Every staff member is so loving and caring toward my son…even the cook! It's so comforting to see my son so happy with everyone there. They truly provide a home away from home for my son. To this day, the center director updates me on my son's daily events with great enthusiasm. We are very happy with KinderCare as they provide affordable rates and priceless discoveries in a safe, nurturing learning environment.
I first contacted Michelle, the center director, in early summer 2012 with a lot of questions and concerns because as foster parents, we were not sure if placing our little ones in child care all day was the best option for them. After talking with Michelle, I was completely put at ease due to her knowledge of the special needs that many foster children come with. She immediately made me feel assured and I knew if we made the decision to place our little ones in child care, we would go in this direction. About a month or two later, my husband was at the Racine Zoo with one of our little ones and he saw KinderCare on a summer field trip. When he came home, he could not say enough wonderful things about how the teachers worked with the children and how they were learning and having fun, yet were under control, polite, and working together. After witnessing that, I immediately made another call to the center to speak to Michelle and made the decision to enroll our little ones as soon as the new school year started and my husband, a teacher, started back at school again. Since then, we've had multiple little ones who have come into our lives and gone onto different homes in the last nine months and we have watched all of them grow and flourish beyond anything I could have ever imagined. It takes a very special bunch of educators to make scared little ones who were just removed from their home, placed in foster care, and now placed in child care to feel loved, comforted, stable, and learn. Michelle and all of her teachers, especially Ms. Bethany, who has been lucky enough be the teacher of all of our little ones, have made nothing but a positive imprint on the lives of all of these little ones and we will be with this KinderCare for as long as we are foster parents.
I brought my son to Racine KinderCare shortly after my wife and I found out he has food allergies, with his food allergies being a huge concern! They have an on-site cook who is able to provide different substitutions for him. I have no doubt in my mind that he is being watched over with his food intake. KinderCare also is providing his soy milk for him and therefore I don't have to provide anything for him to eat and drink. KinderCare takes care of him.
