Parent Reviews
Both of my sons have been with KinderCare since they were six weeks old. Recently, I had gone to visit a friend who just gave birth to her second child. Her first born, a son who is four years old, spent most of his days at an in-home daycare. While her newborn napped, I was reading to her son so Mom could have a little "break" (and a shower!). He stopped me mid-sentence during the story and asked, "Why are you reading so slow and why are you pointing at the words?" I explained that it was so he could follow along with the letter sounds. "Like this," I said, pointing to the word "mom". "What letter is this?" I asked, with my finger under the "m". "I dunno" he replied. "How about this?" I asked, pointing at another letter, this time, the first letter of his name. "I dunno" he said again. This time I asked him "what letter does [his name] start with?" He shrugged his shoulders. Now, while I know that sometimes four year olds can be shy or may just not be feeling cooperative, I had a moment of pride, knowing that both of my boys knew their letters and could write their names at the age 3. I know that that ability came, in large part, from KinderCare. They may not know they're learning because it's so much fun, but trust me, THEY ARE LEARNING! My husband and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience our boys have had at KinderCare - from the relationships with their teachers to the curriculum and the structure - it is something that has had a profoundly positive effect on them. Our oldest is now in kindergarten in a public school and he is reading far beyond his grade level. He enjoys reading and is good at it and I believe the foundation for that was built in his early years at KinderCare.
I wanted to say thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and patient and for caring about my son. He has learned so much during the past 7 months that he has been attending this day care. He enjoys being there and he loves his teachers. I am so happy with the staff and the curriculum that is followed. Thanks again!!
via KinderCare.comOur son has been at KinderCare since he was three months old and we have been happy with the decision since day one. We love it - he loves it. Most days when we get there to pick him up he is having so much fun that he asks to stay ‘just a few more minutes’. The teachers are caring and attentive and he is in a fun learning environment surrounded by his friends. Over the last 4 ½ years we’ve also taken advantage of several of the extra-curricular classes. He has taken classes in cooking, music, phonics, reading and Spanish! KinderCare is more than just a daycare. Being able to leave him at KinderCare knowing he will be safe, secure and happy is the best feeling ever.
