St. Mel School is a Catholic parochial school serving preschool through 8th grade in Woodland Hills. The elementary and middle school programs offer faith-based instruction with weekly Mass attendance, a Spanish curriculum across all grades, specialized math teachers, and a one-to-one iPad program. The preschool follows a play-based curriculum with small class sizes, two lead teachers per room, outdoor garden and play spaces, and an on-site lunch program. Before- and after-school care are available for elementary students, along with a broad range of after-school enrichment programs including coding, robotics, chess, and drama.
