Prekindergarten Program

Final year of preschool designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Program puts a strong emphasis on literacy and language arts. Daily routine includes: reading, writing, math, science, Spanish instruction, movement, art, and music. We are a contracted provider with Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK).

VPK Program providing a high-quality, structured learning environment that prepares children for kindergarten. Through engaging, hands-on activities, we strengthen early literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and independence while fostering confidence and a love for learning.

Florida VPK

For Four- and Five-Year-Olds Who Reside in Florida. The Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program or Florida VPK is a FREE Pre-K program for four and five-year-olds who reside in Florida. Florida VPK gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. By developing the skills children need to become strong readers and students at an early age, children are more likely to be successful in school. Florida VPK classrooms offer high-quality programs that include high literacy standards, developmentally appropriate curricula, manageable class sizes, and qualified teachers. The Florida VPK school-year program includes 540 hours of instructional time and begins in August. Registration starts in March and goes through July. To register, parents must bring their registration form to secure a spot and prove Florida residency. Children must be age four on or before September 1 and going to K-5 the following year. Pre-K

Our VPK/Pre-K program is is centered on interdisciplinary projects that create engaging learning experiences through hands on, open- ended explorations. This state-funded program is provided at no cost to families, with optional extended hours of care available for an additional cost beyond the standard VPK hours. Within this framework, children are prompted to engage in small peer groups, fostering the exploration, design, and presentation of their projects. Collaboration and communication become the cornerstones of all activities. This approach encourages learners to formulate hypotheses, investigate processes, and draw conclusions, empowering them to articulate and defend ideas, building confidence in their ability to formulate individual opinions and become the authors of their own learning journeys. Through these interdisciplinary projects, children engage in foundational learning skills such as math, science, social studies, and language arts in meaningful ways.

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. We also foster appreciation for diversity to create an inclusive, caring community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering classroom readiness skills, nurturing social-emotional growth through our character education program, and strengthening literacy and math skills. With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we offer additional academic rigor.
