Position Overview
Golden Horizon Montessori( Family childcare) are seeking a caring, reliable Assistant Teacher to support our mixed‑age Montessori . This part‑time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a collaborative, home‑like setting, and has flexible availability to meet the needs of our program.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily routines including circle time, work/play periods, outdoor exploration, art, music, and movement.
- Assist with classroom organization and preparation of Montessori materials.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that encourages independence and respect.
- Communicate effectively with lead teacher, children, and families.
- Help maintain a clean, orderly classroom and support transitions throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required—we provide training and guidance.
- Excellent time management abilities.
*A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
*Flexible scheduling availability is a strong fit for this role.
*Current First Aid & CPR training.
*Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) training.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in childcare, teaching, or caregiving.
*Have a MERIT account or willingness to open one.
