Assistant Teacher

Job Description

Tiny Step Learners Daycare is seeking a caring, dependable, energetic, and preferably bilingual (English/Spanish) Teacher Assistant for our 2-year-old classroom.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Group Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities
Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day
Assist with circle time, arts & crafts, learning activities, meals, and nap time
Assist with diaper changes, potty training, handwashing, and other personal care needs
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
Support children in both English and Spanish when appropriate
Follow all daycare policies, safety procedures, and classroom schedules
Communicate professionally with teachers, administration, children, and families

High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual in English and Spanish
Previous daycare, preschool, or childcare experience
Experience working specifically with toddlers
Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom routines
