Childcare Assistant (As Needed) – In-Home Daycare

Job Description

Happy Hearts Child Daycare is looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible Childcare Assistant to join our team. This is an as-needed position that typically provides 20–25 hours per week, depending on enrollment and childcare needs. Some weeks may offer additional hours.

Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing, and safe care for infants and young children.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and daily activities.
- Assist with diaper changes, feeding, toileting, and maintaining proper hygiene.
- Support age-appropriate learning activities that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment.
- Follow all daycare policies, safety procedures, and Missouri childcare licensing regulations.
- Communicate professionally with the provider and work as part of a team to ensure the best care for every child.

Qualifications:
- Experience caring for infants and young children is required.
- Must be reliable, dependable, punctual, and have a genuine love for working with children.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Must have a current Missouri Child Care background screening.
- Must have completed all required Missouri Professional Development (MOPD) training hours for childcare staff.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
