Childcare Director

Job Description

LMM Sunset Montessori is seeking an experienced, dependable, and caring Childcare Center Director to oversee the daily operations of our licensed childcare center serving infants through Pre-K.

The Director will provide leadership to teachers and staff, maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Regulation requirements, support enrollment and parent relationships, and ensure that every child receives a safe, nurturing, and high-quality educational experience.

Primary Responsibilities
Oversee the center’s daily operations, classrooms, employees, and programs.
Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Regulation minimum standards and licensing requirements.
Ensure all classrooms meet required child-to-caregiver ratios.
Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
Provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
Maintain accurate student, employee, licensing, attendance, training, and inspection records.
Conduct regular classroom observations to ensure proper supervision, safety, cleanliness, and curriculum implementation.
Support Montessori-based learning activities and age-appropriate lesson planning.
Communicate professionally with parents regarding enrollment, tuition, classroom updates, concerns, and child development.
