Job Description
Noah’s Ark Quality Academy is hiring a caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Teacher Assistant / Early Learning Assistant to join our team in View Park-Windsor Hills, Los Angeles.
Serving children and families since 1989, Noah’s Ark Quality Academy provides a safe, loving, structured, and engaging environment where children develop academically, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and creatively.
Our program incorporates early childhood education, STEAM learning, literacy, etiquette, leadership development, creative arts, music, movement, and hands-on learning experiences.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children, has a positive and nurturing personality, and wants an opportunity to learn and grow in early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively engage children throughout the day
- Assist the Lead Teacher with lessons and classroom activities
- Help implement curriculum and enrichment activities
- Support children’s academic, social, emotional, creative, and physical development
- Read, play, create, and interact with children
- Assist with meals, snacks, nap time, transitions, and daily routines
- Participate in outdoor play and physical activities
- Help prepare and organize classroom materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and staff
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications:
- Must genuinely enjoy working with children
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Patient, caring, positive, and nurturing
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Strong communication skills
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Energetic and willing to actively participate with children
- Willing to learn and receive training
- Must be willing and able to complete required childcare clearances and training
Experience We Welcome:
Previous experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, tutoring, summer camps, children’s ministry, youth programs, or other caregiving environments is welcomed.
Early Childhood Education coursework and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred but are not required for every applicant.
