We're a brand-new, NYS licensed Group Family Daycare opening this September in Patchogue. Our goal is to combine the warmth and personal connections of a small daycare with the structure, professionalism, and educational focus of a larger center. Our program operates in a purpose built classroom that is separate from our home.

We are currently hiring two part-time Assistant Teachers:
One position: 3 days per week (30 hours/week)
One position: 2 days per week (20 hours/week)
Opportunities to substitute for additional hours.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers.
Supervise children at all times while maintaining NYS OCFS health and safety standards.
Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, feeding, and other daily care routines.
Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, outdoor play, and circle time.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom throughout the day.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with families during drop-off and pick-up.
Perform other childcare-related duties necessary to support the daily operation of the program.

Experience:
Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred
Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques
Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and preschool activities enhances your ability to support diverse age groups
Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to childcare licensing regulations
