Daycare Child Care Staff 1-3 year olds

Job Description

Frog Academy Preschool and Daycare is looking for two dependable, caring, and energetic people to work with children ages 1–3 years old.

No childcare experience or teaching degree is required—we are happy to train the right person!

Every day, Monday-Friday.
(1 position) 6:30am-2:30pm - MUST be reliable for 6:30am.
(1 position) 8:00am - 5:00pm - MUST assist with potty training.


This is a hands-on position. Our youngest children need adults who show up, and are patient, playful, attentive, and good at keeping a group of VERY busy little people safe, busy, and out of mischief.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide tender, attentive care.
• Supervise children closely and remain active.
• Change diapers, and teach toileting and handwashing.
• Sing, dance, play, read, and participate enthusiastically.
• Guide classroom activities, playground time, and rest time.

• Keep the classroom clean, sanitary, organized, and ready for lessons.
• Find simple crafts, activities, and ideas that help bring our lessons to life.
• Communicate with coworkers, administrators, and families.
• Work well with classroom partners as a dependable member of the team.
• Keep cell phone use limited so your attention remains on the children.

• Excellent attendance, reliability, and punctuality
• A kind, patient, and nurturing approach to children
• The energy to stay actively involved with busy children ages 1–3
• A willingness to change diapers—there will be plenty!
• Comfort singing, dancing, being silly, and making learning fun
• The ability to accept direction, and work well with others
• Initiative to locate age-appropriate crafts and activity ideas
• A commitment to classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization
• The ability to put your phone away and remain present with the children
• No previous childcare experience required
