JumpStart Creative Child Development Center is seeking dependable, caring, and experienced Lead Teachers / Toddler Teachers to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to help maintain a safe, structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities include:

Lead and support the daily classroom routine for toddlers.
Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities, play-based lessons, and classroom engagement.
Supervise children closely throughout the day to ensure safety, participation, and positive behavior.
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Assist with meals, transitions, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and other daily care needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Communicate professionally with parents, families, teachers, and center leadership.
Follow center policies, licensing standards, classroom procedures, and daily schedules.
Maintain attendance, classroom records, and daily communication as needed.
Work as part of a team to create a respectful, supportive, and child-focused classroom culture.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year of experience working in a preschool, daycare, toddler, or early childhood classroom setting preferred.
Must be dependable, patient, professional, and comfortable working with toddlers.
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to follow classroom routines and center procedures.
Child Abuse & Neglect Recognition Training required prior to or upon hire per Virginia licensing standards.
CPR/First Aid certification and childcare-related training preferred; must be willing to obtain upon hire.
CDA credential or early childhood education coursework is a plus.
Must be willing to complete a minimum of 16 hours of annual childcare training as required by Virginia licensing standards.
Must be willing to complete all required background check requirements prior to hire.

Position Details:

Openings: 3 Positions Available
Schedule: Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
Pay: $14.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
