Job Description

We are seeking a Korean speaking Teacher's Assistant that is passionate, high-energy, and reliable, to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and organized learning environment where young children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. You will be an extra pair of eyes, ears, and hands—helping implement daily lesson plans, managing classroom routines, and providing individual care to children aged 2.5 to 5 years old.

Classroom & Curriculum Support

Execute activities: Assist the lead teacher in setting up, implementing, and cleaning up creative daily lesson plans, including arts and crafts, storytelling, and sensory play.

Small group leadership: Guide small groups of children through specific educational activities or games to reinforce foundational learning concepts.

Material prep: Organize instructional materials, learning centers, and outdoor equipment before children arrive.

Child Supervision & Safety

Constant monitoring: Maintain line-of-sight and sound supervision of children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and field trips.

Positive guidance: Use non-punitive, positive reinforcement techniques to encourage healthy socialization, conflict resolution, and self-esteem.

Routine care: Assist children with daily personal care, including handwashing, meal/snack distribution, naptime routines, and diapering or bathroom training.

Communication & Documentation

Observe and track: Note developmental milestones, behavioral changes, or safety incidents and communicate them directly to the lead teacher.

Parent interaction: Welcome families during drop-off and pick-up times, maintaining a professional and supportive attitude.

Record keeping: Help track attendance, daily activity logs, or incident reports as requested.

Sanitation & Maintenance

Maintain order: Keep the classroom, toys, and learning spaces clean, organized, and disinfected according to state health and safety standards.

End-of-day prep: Ensure the room is tidy and organized at the end of each shift.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (GED).

Credentials: At least 12 early childhood college credits.

Experience: No experience needed for TA position but expected to have at least 12 Child Development college credits completed as forementioned.

Certifications: Current First Aid and pediatric CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain them upon hire).

Background check: Must successfully pass federal and state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, and a child abuse clearance check.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, up to 40 lbs. regularly to assist children. (Not required but preferred)

Ablility to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, sit on the floor, and run to match the physical activity level of preschool-aged children.

Ability to stand for extended periods and quickly move from one location to another in an emergency.
