As the culmination of our School Readiness Pathway, our Private Kindergarten program offers your child a small class size and big opportunities. The curriculum features award-winning national programs in literacy, math, and handwriting. Physical education, fine arts, social studies, and science and nature are also explored, while we work closely with your child to meet important social-emotional development objectives. Kindergarten

At this age, children display an awareness of their thought processes and begin understanding how to make plans, execute those plans, and reflect on their results. Your kindergartener will be immersed in the written word through stories, plays, daily journals, and technology projects. Trips to the class child-run market or restaurant bring math to life and science will come alive for them with hands-on experiments and projects.

Kindergarten

Our kindergarten curriculum focuses on developing foundational skills that prepare students for later learning in the areas of math, science, social studies, and language arts. Understanding the alphabet and reading comprehension is a primary instruction in Kindergarten. Children begin to develop writing skills with guidance by using a combination of drawing, storytelling, and writing to convey an event or share an opinion. Kindergarteners learn to count to 100 by ones and tens and write numbers from zero to twenty. They are introduced to life science, physical science, earth science, and space science. Introduction to foreign language incorporates songs, drawing, coloring, and cultural visual aids.

We provide a special high quality personalized childcare focused on safety, health, & well being. We nurture and respect each child's unique personalities and skills to prepare them for success. We celebrate each child’s birthday with a party and a special gift for the celebrant.

Afterschool Program

After-school programs provide a great resource for working parents and providing children with extra care and enrichment activities beyond school hours providing supervised playtime, homework assistance, and age-appropriate activities such as arts & crafts, sports, or STEM projects.

Homework Help

At Sylvan Learning, your child will develop critical thinking skills and study habits to tackle homework with confidence. We’ve perfected a highly personal approach, tailoring homework support to your child’s specific needs. Homework assignments will get easier and go faster.

Tutoring in Math

At Sylvan Learning, your child will build strong math foundations through personalized instruction that strengthens core skills, boosts confidence, and supports lasting success. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

With our Flex Care program, you can purchase child care days in advance to use, as you need them—all year long. You get reliability and flexibility, and your child gets to experience our proven curriculum in a fun, safe, and secure environment. You can purchase prepaid cards in five-day increments through your school, and each is good for one full year. After completing the enrollment paperwork, just call 48 hours in advance to reserve your spot.

Tutoring & Mentoring Programs

Some subjects don’t come easily and can become a barrier to moving forward — academically and emotionally. That’s why we offer tutoring across all required subject areas and for many electives as well. At Fusion, our teachers are our tutors. They are trained in personalized, one-to-one education and are subject matter experts. In the one-to-one setting, they also act as mentors to their students. NOTE: This tuition rate includes 5 tutoring sessions.
