Parent Reviews
I feel so lucky to have found Katherine for my 3-year-old daughter. It always makes me smile looking at the pictures of my little girl's day. Katherine sets up so many fun and creative activities for the little ones. She also prepares nutritious and delicious meals for them, which my daughter loves and eats all up. My daughter comes home and can't stop talking to me about her day, so I know she truly feels comfortable and enjoys her school. Not to mention the Spanish language exposure! We love it!
Some people have a natural talent for nurturing young minds and caring for little humans. Katherine is one of those people. From the very beginning, I could see my 10 month old warmed up to her and felt comfortable playing and engaging with her. She's a very dedicated, warm, kind, and transparent caregiver. We feel so lucky to have come across Acuarela Learning Childcare, and we encourage those who are looking for a home daycare to give this place a call. It will be the right decision! We also really appreciate Katherine's passion for teaching our son Spanish (as well as English). Even at his young age, language (both verbal and sign language) is so important, and Katherine takes it seriously while making it super fun! We love that she is so creative with the sensory activities she prepares, how thoughtful she is about the warm and delicious meals she cooks for the kids in her care, and the time they spend outdoors playing and soaking up the sun. Acuarela offers such a wholesome and welcoming environment that we're so happy to have found.
Katherine was our daughter's first teacher from age 4 months - 2 years. Right from the start, even at this early age, we felt comfortable with and confident in Katherine as a caregiver. Not only was this because of her level of experience, but also because our daughter would light up when she saw Katherine, making it clear to us that Katherine created a space where kids felt happy, safe, and supported. We feel lucky to have had Katherine as a part of our daughter's first years, infusing this time with love, warmth, and happiness. Katherine also introduced creative and engaging activities that helped our daughter grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively. We especially appreciated how she incorporated both English and Spanish into daily routines—our daughter loved sharing new words and songs she learned with us in both languages. Katherine's investment in our daughter's development was easy to see in her joy over each success or completed milestone. Thanks to Katherine’s thoughtful approach and loving presence, our daughter built a strong foundation for learning and development. We’re so grateful for her care and can’t recommend her highly enough.
Katherine has been our son’s teacher since he was just one year old, and from the very beginning it was clear that he would feel right at home in her classroom. She is truly exceptional—not only is she warm, nurturing, and genuinely devoted to the well-being of every child, but she also brings a remarkable level of thought and creativity to her teaching. Despite working with very young children, Katherine designs an engaging and thoughtful curriculum that introduces them to a wide range of topics in a way that’s both age-appropriate and meaningful. Each week was centered around a new theme, and our son absorbed so much—both in terms of knowledge and curiosity. What stands out most is her ability to guide group dynamics with such skill. She supports each child’s development while fostering a strong sense of community. Thanks to her, our son grew tremendously not only cognitively, but also socially. He learned how to interact with others, share, express himself, and feel confident in a group. We cannot recommend Katherine highly enough. We feel so lucky to have had her as our child’s first teacher, and we will always be grateful for the foundation she helped build.
