Amanda is a previous employee of my Family child care. She is a kind hearted, loving provider. Amanda cares about the well being and education of all children. She has such a gentle natural approach to child care. The children in my care were always excited to see her ! Amanda stood out to me from other providers when I was touring. She was welcoming and answered all of my questions. But what really made her stand out was that she didn’t just acknowledge me, she engaged with my child. She immediately got onto the floor and started playing. No one else did that at other tours. Amanda has been an amazing caregiver to my 2.5 year old. Amanda is very kind/caring and she is a good communicator. She will text me photos throughout the day and provides updates on my child’s temperament/health. She also shares funny anecdotes with me which is really special. I truly feel that the kids are the priority when under Amanda’s care. Amanda puts a lot of effort into her handbook, monthly calendars, and projects. My child does a lot of fun activities and is excited to share them with us. There have been a few projects/gifts made by Amanda and the kids that have brought me to tears because of the thoughtfulness and sentiment. The hard reality is that our kids spend a huge majority of their waking hours - not with us - but with their daycare providers. You really need to choose someone you trust to care for and teach your child, someone who is passionate about investing in your child, and someone who is committed to your child’s wellbeing.
