Parent Reviews
I have shared with our teachers and director how pleased we are with the Anderson Witt Rd Kinder care center in Cincinnati, Ohio in the past, but I also wanted to share this with you too. Prior to choosing Kindercare I could not Imagine sending my boys to a daycare center. I originally sent my children to a home sitter because I felt they would get more love and attention. We had to begin using a daycare center after our second son was born and I remember visiting every facility in town including the one at the hospital where I work. Everywhere I went did not feel like home and I left each place sad about the prospect of leaving my then 2 year old and 5 month old boys. When I went to Kndercare they were warm and welcoming. They were and continue to be genuinely interested in my children and I can tell they love my boys. Some of the most significant things to me regarding their care and education include the following: The sign language helped my youngest son when he was having repeated ear infections and difficulty hearing. He was able to communicate without any frustrations due to learning sign language. It helped prevent him from delays until he was able to have tubes placed. So I will always be thankful to the teachers for being diligent with the sign language. I really appreciated the music classes when my boys were younger. It gave them the opportunity to have an outlet for their creativity and they were always excited to tell us about the new songs and instruments. Ms. Debbie has been wonderful teaching the boys Spanish. They use Spanish words interchangeably at times. It is amazing to me how quickly they if I up a second language. Ms. Cassidy has been a dream between cooking and phonics. The boys love cooking class and they are willing to try new foods as a result. They are also learning great skills related to measuring and remembering a list of ingredients as well as following instructions in a specific order. My 3 year old can even tell us what he made, all the ingredients and how to make the recipe at home. So for a year now we also have "mommy cooking class" on weekends at home and it is so much fun. As for phonics my boys have an excellent start to reading and the love of reading. Although it starts in phonics it is evident throughout the center how much reading occurs. They look for opportunities for my 5 year old to grow in his reading including going to the younger kids classes to read to the toddlers or babies. He LOVES that and it is a great way for him to value reading and take on "big kid" leadership. Finally, I cannot say enough about the management- they work with us on anything we feel is important for growth in our boys. When we struggled with some attention and mild behavior issues they were quick to help us reinforce our rules from home at school and even problem solved positive rewards. They clearly care a great deal about their staff, kids and families. I am so glad to have found this kindercare. It doesn't look like much from the outside compared to the newer, fancier daycare centers but they sure do make up for it and then some in the care and education they provide. Sincerely, Christine Voegele
Being a working mother, the most important aspect of finding the right daycare/education center is knowing that you can trust the teachers with your child(ren) every day. It is important to know that a daycare has your child’s best interest at the core of everything they do. I am continually impressed at my level of comfort bringing my son to the center. Everyone is so kind and it is obvious they not only love what they do but they love the children they take care of. There was a period of time when my son was really struggling in the morning, crying, not wanting me to leave, etc.. I received a call from his teacher Ms. Cassidy one morning, just to let me know that once I leave he does fine- participates, plays with his friends. She did not have to take time out of her busy schedule to do this but knew how important it was for me to know. That level of empathy and compassion is beyond comforting for a parent. Since my son has started in the learning adventures, I am amazed at the level of enthusiasm he has around writing, sounding out letters and even wanting to help me cook. All the teachers at KinderCare contribute to such an amazing experience. I feel comfortable discussing anything about my child with them which allows me to be a vital part of my child’s education.
We are so happy with our KinderCare family. The level of care and compassion exceeds expectation. Our children enjoy their time at the center and are developing into bright, curious, and independent children thanks to the excellent teachers they encounter each day.
