Parent Reviews
There are no words that can truly capture my gratitude or the incredible experience our family had with Arcoiris. If you can imagine the perfect place to care for the person you love most, Arcoiris somehow exceeds even those expectations. If you don't read this entire review, just know this: your child will be loved, cared for, and challenged to grow while you're away from them—a comforting feeling during a stage when they are so young and vulnerable. They will grow socially, intellectually, and emotionally, all while making wonderful memories with friends and teachers. (The Fire Department visit with the fire truck was an absolute highlight!) My son started at Arcoiris when he was just 2 years and 2 months old. He recently graduated at 4 years old and is now headed to TK. In that time, he transformed from a shy, clingy toddler into a caring, enthusiastic, energetic, and brilliant "big boy." Arcoiris played a pivotal role in that development. Today, he dreams of becoming an astronaut, loves animals, and—even though we aren't a Spanish-speaking family—has built a wonderful foundation for becoming bilingual. Most of all, I can't thank Ms. Joycie and Ms. Cristina enough for the individualized care they gave my son. He has always had challenges with transitions, but by working together with us as parents, they helped him develop the skills and confidence to manage those moments successfully. What makes Arcoiris so special starts with the providers. They felt like trusted family members who also happened to havea PhD in child development. Every one of them loved my son as if he were their own family, and it was obvious they cared deeply about every child in the program. They also took the time to genuinely get to know every parent. At first, I thought they were giving our family special treatment, but then I realized they make every family feel that way. That culture of kindness, respect, and genuine care is the foundation of everything they do. Their dedication also shines through in the classroom. My son was excited to go to school every morning and couldn't wait to come home and tell us what he had learned. The curriculum is outstanding. I've heard stories of daycares where children spend much of the day in front of a TV, but that couldn't be further from the experience at Arcoiris. There was no TV at all—just engaging activities, music, writing, early literacy, hands-on projects, outdoor play, and a well-structured daily routine. The projects deserve special recognition. I wish I could keep every single one, but the ones we've saved and displayed around our home are treasures. My son still proudly points to them and tells me how he made them just for me. Whether or not that's exactly how it happened doesn't matter—what matters is the pride he takes in his work. That confidence and excitement about learning is a gift that will stay with him long after preschool. If you have the opportunity to enroll your child at Arcoiris, take it. Even if the logistics aren't ideal or you have a longer commute (if I lived in Bay Farm, knowing what I know, I'd make that commute), I truly believe it's worth it. Watching your child graduate with confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning is an incredibly joyful moment. Thanks to Arcoiris, my son isn't just ready for his next chapter—he's going to thrive.
I cannot say enough, good things about the staff and school at Arcoiris. Everyone was incredibly kind and nurturing to our daughter for the two years she was there. She gained healthy eating habits, learned Spanish and her letters, along with a variety of other things and she had a great time doing it. She would come home singing songs about planets or talking about all the different types of dinosaurs and community helpers. I love that they created healthy overall habits with washing hands and sitting down to eat at lunch. She made great friends and the community of parents was wonderful. I wish she could have stayed there for longer! You will not be disappointed if you send your children here!
I am happy to share my positive experience with Arcoiris! Since starting, we've noticed a significant improvement in his vocabulary and speaking skills. The daily interactions with other children have also been invaluable, especially in learning the concept of sharing. Arcoiris offers a fantastic mix of activities each day, including free play, arts and crafts, reading time, and outdoor play. We also appreciate the introduction of new themes every two weeks, providing a fresh and engaging focus for the children. The provision of lunch and snacks is a huge convenience, eliminating the weekly burden of shopping and brainstorming meal ideas. This has been a great help for our busy schedules. A significant benefit that we've come to appreciate is that Arcoiris is bilingual, offering both Spanish and English instruction. We've been incredibly impressed with the amount of Spanish words and songs our son has mastered in such a short time. This exposure to a second language is a wonderful bonus! Other important aspects for parents to consider: Staff: The Arcoiris staff are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in the children's well-being. They are also communicative and provide regular updates on our child's progress and activities. Facility: The facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for the children to learn and play. Curriculum: The daycare follows a structured curriculum that focuses on early childhood development, ensuring that children are learning and growing in all areas. Overall, we highly recommend Arcoiris to other parents. It has been a wonderful experience for our child, and we are grateful for the positive impact it has had on his development!
Arcoiris has been such a great experience for our family, we love the teachers and our daughter is very happy at the school. The space for the school is new, spacious and thoughtfully put together. The school also provides lunches M-TH! Would recommend to all our friends and family.
Attending Arcoiris has been so positive for our family. Every day when our daughter is dropped off she’s excited about playing with her friends. When she comes home she tells us about what they did that day and about something new she learned. There’s nothing like knowing your kid is in a loving, nurturing and enriching environment. We feel so lucky to be part of the Arcoiris community!
I have two boys at Arcoíris Spanish Learning Academy. They are loving it and we are too. Joycie and Maria are loving and kind teachers who really help kids shine. The curriculum teaches kids about the world around them in hands on ways that really helps the kids learn. I also love the community they are building, and love that the boys come home talking about all their friends and the meals and games they played together. I have one child with a speech delay and a 2 year old that is still figuring out language and I am so happy to see both their English and Spanish blossoming.
Amazing bilingual preschool! My daughter loves the teachers and the environment! The school is brand new and each room is beautifully designed to help engage the child in activities (mathematics, arts, science, etc). Healthy hot home cooked meals everyday. The teachers keep the parents updated with photos, weekly newsletters on what the kids are learning so we can ask questions about their day. My daughter runs to school and comes home with a big smile. We absolutely love the school and would highly recommend.
Joycie and Arcoiris have been a godsend for us and our 2.5 year old! We tried a few other schools in the area that were not a good fit and we are so glad we found her. She is so patient and kind and our son is learning so much! We are so grateful.
