Raising a toddler takes a village, and that is exactly what Ashcreek Playschool is: a village of families looking to educate their children in a nuturing, understanding and playful way. We have attended Ashcreek Playschool for 3 years, first with my older son who was in the Rose Class with Teacher Julie for two years and now in Azalea Class with Teacher Dulce, and then with my younger son who started in the Daisy Class with Teacher Elizabeth and now is in the Rose Class. The teachers are excellent: patient, understanding, playful, and very competent. I trust them with my children and I also trust the other families who parent-teach/ volunteer in the classroom on a regular basis. Since it is a co-op school, I have had the privilege of being on the Fundraising Committee, the DEI Chair and now the Vice President. I feel very involved in my children's education and I enjoy being a part of running the school. The children are a delight, all the ups and downs are what make preschool. I feel so grateful to have teachers who are willing to talk through my children's progress and work with me to improve their learning path. With a play-based curriculum, there is always fun to be had at Ashcreek. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, safe, fun learning environment for their preschooler. It is affordable, flexible and unique!

My daughter has attended Ashcreek Playschool for 3 years and I can most succinctly describe it as a lifechanging experience. The teachers are knowledgeable, caring, and enthusiastic to work with parents. The opportunity to volunteer in the classroom has helped me grow as a parent and really get to know the other kids my own child learns with every day. The parent community is strong and really makes you feel like you've found your home. If I had another kid we'd keep going there, but alas my own is aging out. I recommend all local families to consider this school!

Ashcreek Playschool is an amazing affordable co-op community of like-minded families. It was my first experience in a co-op and I am impressed every day with everyones commitment to participating in the school to not only run it but work to improve it. Its so enjoyable to be able to parent teach in the classroom to see my sons first hand in class. Its a 9 month program (3-5 days a week) but Ashcreek also has a summer camp that goes for 8 weeks in the summer!

Ashcreek has been an incredible experience for our family. I had my daughter in April of 2020 and entered parenthood during a really lonely, scary time for all of us. Two years later, we decided it was time to begin socializing our daughter and getting a much-needed break for my husband and I. Although we weren't aware of the co-op preschool model, it was exactly what we were looking for: affordable, part-time childcare with the added bonus of a strong, supportive community and child-based learning. I'm truly grateful to have gotten to know the teachers and families that make up the school, and I can honestly say that it has been a wonderful learning and growing experience for our whole family!

I didn’t anticipate the sense of community our family would gain from joining Ashcreek. My sons have attended Ashcreek the last three years - starting in summer camp and moving through Daisy and Rose classes. The co-op structure allows families to be involved and take an active role in the school and their child’s early education. The teachers are amazing, and I’m so happy for the relationships we’ve built with both teachers and other families. This playschool is truly a gem for Beaverton families.
