My daughter has been going to daycare at Ms. Debbie's for 4 years. She has been amazing to us & my daughter Adriana. She treats her like her own. Debbie helped prepare my daughter for kindergarten & has done extremely well. The kids love going there. DDebbie always has fun crafts and projects to do but also makes teaching & educating them fun!! She communicates well and is overall a genuine nice person who the loves the kids

My daughter has been attending Debbie's for almost 3 years now and her younger brother joined her over a year ago. Both my kids have thrived while attending and look forward to seeing her everyday. When I first started looking at daycares for my then 6 month old, it was still COVID and I wasn't sure if I wanted to send her to a big daycare center. After visiting Debbie's, I know we made the right choice. Debbie has dedicated her life, and even altered her home, to provide for the children. She continues to take classes so she learns the best way to support children. Not only has my daughter leaned her letters, sounds, numbers, colors, shapes, and rhyming words (in English and Spanish to support our goal of raising her bilingual), but she also teaches all the children's about social/emotional concepts; feelings and how to manage them. The best part about Debbie's isn't the age appropriate academic exposure, it's the FUN she ensures all the kids have everyday. The children have free choice for play throughout the day. Most importantly, they go outside every day, for very long stretches of time, weather permitting. On hot days she provides sprinklers to run through, a baby pool and a water table to splash in. During the winter, she takes the children out play in the snow. And every other day the children play for hours outside on the many bikes and ride on toys, swingset, sand box, large yard to run around in and kick balls, and more outdoor play space on her deck. On rainy days there is plenty to play with inside: big body blocks, puppets, dolls, trucks, a kitchen set, Legos, etc. Debbie will even bake treats from scratch with the children, like cookies and muffins! My children come home happy, well fed, and even a little worn out from all the play. I can't imagine my children having a better childhood than what they are given everyday at Debbie's. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

My son started at Beginner Steps at just 3 months old, and he has been here for over a year now. I felt immediately that Miss Debbie would love and care for my son while I returned to work. She is incredibly professional, safe, and caring. She always puts the children’s needs first. I’ve noticed an amazing increase in my sons verbal development as well- he learned sign language (more, please, all done) and comes home each day with new skills (colors, counting, animal sounds, etc.) I especially love the small, tight-knit community with this daycare. It is comforting knowing your child is being cared for in such a thoughtful way.

We have been with Debbie now for 1.5 years and my daughter is thriving under her care. She loves going every day and is always in a great mood at pickup. She even asks to go to Debbie's house on weekends sometimes because she loves her friends and the projects they do, and tells me how she can't wait to tell Debbie about XYZ thing she's excited about. The kids spend a lot of time outdoors year-round and I love Debbie's focus on homemade healthy foods. Debbie also works closely with parents to help their children through challenges and will work with you and your child if they need early intervention at her facility. Deb is honest and I trust that my daughter is safe when she is there. In Debbie's care my daughter has also made noticeable advancements in her development including having a good pencil grip, cutting with scissors, learning her letters and numbers, all before she turned 3 years old. Highly recommend!

Beginner Steps has been an amazing experience for my daughter since we began about 3 months ago. She is happy to see Miss Deb each morning and has already learned so much. Deb does a great job balancing the needs of all the children and keeping open communication to parents. As a smaller daycare, my husband and I really like the family-like feel Beginner Steps provides. The price is reasonable and the facility is clean with a wide variety of toys. I highly recommend Beginner Steps for anyone looking for childcare.

My son was at this daycare from the time he was an infant until we moved and he was 4. I have found Debbie to be a kind, educated and caring teacher. She treats all the children as an individual and as a group in the activities throughout the day. Bottom line we all have full plates having work, a family and everything else. It means a lot to me knowing I never had to worry about my child. He was loved, taken care of and educated.
