We have been using Bright Bees Family Child Care for the past nine years! My oldest child started at Bright Bees when she was just three months old in 2015 and we still attend to this day--now on our 4th child! We found Kia (and her assistant, Kimy) through a coworker's recommendation, and have been delighted with both the effort they put into creating a healthy, fruitful learning environment and the growth our children have experienced while attending Bright Bees. Kia gives regular feedback on the educational progress of our children, and her annual parent-teacher conferences offer a unique opportunity to delve into the specific strengths, weaknesses, wants, and needs of our children. Kia prepares excellent lesson plans for each child, ranging from sensory exercises to addition and subtraction problems. Our kids are always coming home with adorable arts and crafts projects. Kia and Kimy always have a theme ready for the kids, whether they are "camping", celebrating a holiday, or getting visited by the tooth fairy. They truly love and care for each child as though they were one of their own. My three oldest are now in elementary school (4th, 2nd, and K). In addition to all being well prepared for kindergarten when they each started, they still ask to go back to visit Kia on their days off of school! You will not regret going with Bright Bees Family Child Care!

Oh how lucky were we to find Kia and Bright Bees! We interviewed a lot of home childcare centers for my then 6 month old son, and none matched the professionalism, cleanliness, education focused curriculum that Bright Bees offered. Kia is amazing— she loves my son like her own and nurtures him to grow and supports his curiosities and eagerness. Kimy, Kia’s assistant, is incredible and has a level of energy and enthusiasm with the kids that is unmatched. They do crafts, play with music, dance, read, and write — something new everyday! Don't hesitate a second to have your children attend Bright Bees! My son has been going there since he was 2yo, when we just moved to Maryland. Kia has been incredible: she has been working hard with him in the areas he was lacking, mostly due to some level of disability he has. The children attending Bright Bees are fully ready for kindergarten, knowing even more than what is expected thanks to Kia and Kimy (Kia's assistant). Bright Bees is such a nurturing environment with a teacher:children ratio of 1:4 so ideal for a learning environment when children are so young. Kia & Kimy will go above and beyond to help children feel welcome, confident, independent and knowledgeable. Also, children come back at the end of the week with a backpack full of crafts and activities that they have done during the week! If my child had younger siblings, I wouldn't hesitate a second to bring them at Bright Bees!
