Parent Reviews
I am not Chinese, but I wanted my 2 year-old son to be in a language immersive daycare and get exposed to a diverse community. The kids come from varied backgrounds, races, ethnicities, and religions. The daycare is inclusive to all families. It's just a regular English daycare that happens to also teach the children a little Chinese. BLPS not only provided what we were looking for, the teachers are extremely warm and caring. And they are very professionally run but not uptight or overbearing. They are reasonable and will work with you as parents. They get that kids are kids and things don't always work as planned. We did a lot of research, and not only did we like the daycare the best, it's also one of the most price competitive for what they offer.
My 2 1/2 year old son has been attending the BLPS program since May and he is THRIVING! He was a pandemic baby who wasn't socialized with other children until we sent him to BLPS, and we were nervous that he would be uncomfortable and shy around other children and in a new environment. We should not have been concerned at all. He was well-adjusted after a week and the teachers have been so attentive and kind with him. He loves to talk about "Miss Bessie" and his friends. He has learned so many new words in English and Chinese, can count to 20, sings new songs, and is picking up so many new skills. He is soo happy and energized after each day with his teachers and classmates. We choose BLPS since it is mixed Chinese and English immersion and we wanted to exposure our son to both languages early on. It also has flexible hours, a good student/teacher ratio, takes all COVID protocols seriously, provides healthy vegetarian meals (our son naturally loves veggies), and offers Buddhist teachings. We feel its never too early to teach mindfulness and meditation. The program is year round with different holiday and summer break programs. Our son loves Splash Fridays in the summer and we love that they have such a wide variety of programs that expose him to so many different activities and life experiences. We cannot recommend BLPS enough! Its worth the 20 minute drive from Plano!
