We've been with CK montessori for two years now. My daughter started in preschool, and stayed for kindergarten. As the school year comes to an end, we're genuinely devastated about habing to leave to move onto first grade. There aren't words to express how much we love the school & staff at ck. Mrs. Mcclendon, Mrs. Bloomsburg, Ms. Zegers, all amazing, warming, welcoming. They create such an enjoyable environment. Ive had the opportunity to volunteer there a few times over the years. The curriculum is advanced & relevant. My daughter has come home teaching me several signs as they teach ASL. Mrs. Mcclendon has interactive chickens, which are such a fun part of the school. My daughter has chronic health issues and has had to miss several days over the past 2 years. Surgeries and such. At least a handful of times, shes recieved a stuffed bear with cards signed by everyone with love and encouraging words. Mrs. Mcclendon took it upon herself to create optional at home work for my daughter, so she doesn't feel left out or fall behind. Kindergarten is who does full day, gets to do lunch bunch. Its a small group of kiddos and teachers that each lunch together every day. The communication with the school is top tier. Mrs. Bloomsburg has such a fun preschool teacher vibe. She is the epitome of what you would imagine a full montessori teacher to be. Every morning kids are greeted at the cars to get them out, with happy goodmorning vibes. We've never felt any sort of negative experience with this school. As someone who has older children and has been thru the school system, this school just feels safe, wholesome, structured & positive. We were fortunate to recieve a scholarship to do full day Kindergarten. They do conferences every year, school photos out by the apple tree, firetruck day, Halloween costume day, valentines day, apple sauce day which is so fun & hands on for the kids. Something ive found to be so refreshing is how encouraging the teachers are to kiddos who get frustrated. Ive never witnessed any kind of tiny tot bullying. My daughter dreads her 3 days weekends, because she genuinely just loves to be there. Show & tell Mondays, music Wednesdays with the talented ms. Hannah. They do a yearly orchestra concert field trip with parents & students. They're given the ability to cut fruit, learn life skills, feed the class pets, get geography lessons i didn't learn until the middle of elementary. As we part from this school, both my kiddo & i are truly heartbroken. Its her home away from home. You can't compete with the feeling comfort when you drop your child off at school. Our family will forever be so grateful to the staff, but Ms. Zegers, Mrs. Bloomsburg & Mrs. Mcclendon, and Miss. M especially. Theyve been with my daughter the past few years. They've monitored her off days and created / communicated a back up plan for the days she couldnt handle a full day. I could go on forever discussing our time with ck montessori. Her next school has big shoes to fill.
