Ms. Raj and Ms. Fedder are the best! Our daughter is very shy and cautious but her teachers have made the transition to Chesterbrook seamless (she started at the youngest age in the Intermediates). They both show up everyday smiling, caring and eager to interact with all the kids. Outside of the immediate teachers, the entire school has created such a positive change in our daughter's life - each day includes a special course and all 5 of those teachers offer something interactive and engaging (STEM, Art, Music, PE and Spanish). The faculty is very organized, efficient and friendly. Everyone works as a team to get the kids in and out of school safely. The atmosphere at Chesterbrook is really that of a family unit. We've been so happy with our choice to enroll here :)
We've had such a positive experience at this preschool! Ms. Kiara and Ms. Fedder have created a structured yet playful environment that our son thrives in. We were nervous leaving our daycare of 4 years, but having dedicated teachers instead of staff with a high turnover has made a huge difference. They've taken the time to work 1:1 with him on several things we've been concerned about, and the growth we've seen has been incredible. The school also hosts great community events, and everyone has been so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Chesterbrook is such a special place and our kids have had the absolute best experience over the last 5 years. The staff are the friendliest, caring and involved group of people to all the students. We have been blessed with so many amazing teachers and Admin. Just to name a few, Erika Moore, Pam Baroody, Kelsey Desrosiers, Baley Fornes, Abby Moreno and Lorrie Herron
via YelpMy daughter attended Chesterbrook from preschool through 5th grade. There are a few things that make it unique and special. If you are concerned about the direction of our public school system, this is where you want to be. Worth every penny and for private it's fairly priced. Small class sizes - My daughter was one of 9 kids in her class and sometimes there was even a classroom assistant. Teacher student ratio is phenomenal. Accelerated Learning - In public school the teacher is expected to be teaching a specific topic on a specific day. The teachers are able to teach as fast as the kids are able to go so the pace is tailored for the child. You're going to see specialized learning but not the problems that come with teaching to the lowest common dominator that you'll find in public schools. Focus on leadership skills - Your child will be used to speaking in front of an audience comfortably by the time they leave Chesterbook. Principal - The principal has an open door policy and is approachable on any subject. If you have a concern it's addressed quickly and there are no barriers when interacting with staff at all levels. Any issues we raised were dealt with swiftly. No bureaucracy - They do what makes sense. Chesterbrook was up and running working from home within 2 days while Wake county was struggling. I didn't feel like her learning was compromised, her schedule was fully packed and she had everything she needed to be successful. Schedules - They offer after school and summer camp, so I never had to worry about where to put my daughter. Even easter break they have a camp. Culture - I toured a few schools and I felt that Chesterbrook has a down to earth culture and we've always called it the Chesterbrook family. You get to know kids and parents very well with small class sizes. Many of the teachers have their own kids there and have a great vested interest in keeping it a great place to learn.
We love Chesterbrook academy! Such a great sense of community. We enjoy the smaller size that ensures our boys feel safe and loved every day!
