Head Start facility offers federally-funded educational programs for preschool-age children of low-income families. Classroom lessons incorporate Creative Curriculum and interactive learning experiences in early language, literacy, writing, and math concepts. Developmentally appropriate hands-on activities promote cognitive, social, and physical growth. Emphasis is placed on preparing children for successful transition to Kindergarten. Program provides mental and nutritional health services through health screenings and developmental support. One extended day along with one morning and one afternoon class are offered with three teachers working in each classroom.
