I cannot say enough positive things about Rosa’s program, and I strongly recommend sending your child here. Other parents who have sent their children there often say, “Yeah, Rosa taught them that skill.” I sent my child to Rosa’s when they were 7 months old. I chose Ms. Rosa because she has raised five children and has run a daycare for over 10 years. With her experience, she has developed a strong program that supports early childhood development in speech, motor skills, and daily living abilities. When my child first started at Rosa’s, they weren’t walking yet and had only just begun crawling. Through Ms. Rosa’s guidance and consistency, my child took their first steps at 9 months. She has also supported their speech development in such a strong way that people are often surprised to learn my child is only two years old. At just two years old, my child could almost fully dress themselves, put on their shoes, and even put on their own jacket. I was honestly amazed the first time I saw them do that. My child’s doctor was also very impressed with their skills and even asked me for the name of Rosa’s daycare to recommend to other families. Beyond supporting the children, Ms. Rosa also supports the entire family, and her flexibility has been extremely helpful, as a single mom.

My daughter attended Dejando Huellas Child Development Home from 2020 to 2024, and our experience was wonderful. The immersive Spanish environment helped her become comfortable with the language, and she learned so much during her time there. Rosa created a nurturing, loving, and supportive atmosphere where my daughter felt safe, happy, and excited to learn every day. The care, dedication, and attention she provides to each child truly make a difference. Even after leaving the program, we still visit Rosa from time to time because of the special bond they built. My daughter always gets excited to see her and loves going back to visit. That speaks volumes about the positive impact Rosa had on her early childhood years. We had a wonderful experience at Dejando Huellas daycare. Our son attended this daycare part- time from the time he was six months old until he was 3 years old. Rosa is an amazing, warm, caring, attentive, communicative, and loving provider and she treats all the children like they are her own. Our son felt very comfortable there from the beginning and he enjoyed all the toys and activities Rosa provided, including art and music. We greatly appreciated the part-time option and Rosa's willingness to be flexible and work with our schedule-we found this was rare and hard to find in the DC area. We continue to have wonderful memories from this daycare and our family recommends this facility and Rosa enthusiastically!
