My daughter went to Discovery Land from 18 months to 3 years old. She attended both the little kids daycare and the preschool and she absolutely loved it. Marina, the owner, is very easy to communicate and sends pictures throughout the day to keep us posted. My daughter came home with very clean clothes every day. She always wanted to go back to school the next day without hesitation. Most importantly, she made new friends at Discovery Land and we built a community.

Marina and her team took in my son in the early stages of the pandemic, and cared for him from four months until he was 3.25. I was initially drawn to Marina's warmth, dedication, and the lovely space, complete with an ocean-view outdoor play area. It's a special feature that there are side by side infant and toddler/little kid programs, so both babies and kids get age-appropriate support and activities. From my son's earliest days, I knew that he was loved and cared for - and Marina's long experience meant that she knew tricks for tummy time and nap time that made her feel as much like a parenting mentor as a daycare provider. As my son grew, he built confidence and skills - at 2, he was singing his ABCs, counting to 20, and recognizing his letters. At 2.5, he was singing songs in Spanish thanks to the wonderful Spanish teacher who comes in to play games and practice Spanish daily. Marina takes so much pride in her program, keeping immaculately clean facilities, cooking healthy food for the kids, and organizing celebrations for birthdays and holidays, such as a Christmas party complete with "Santa" distributing gifts. She treats her teachers with love and support, so the whole team works closely together and with minimal turnover. She and the other teachers work with you to address any needs that arise, and communicate kindly and discreetly when there are challenging behaviors. Finally, the program is small, warm, and fosters community connections. Parents stay and chat with each other and Marina at pick up; people have been warm, open, and fun to see outside of school. Being at Marina's has truly made us feel a part of the parent community in the neighborhood, and I am as grateful for that as the excellent care they have provided. We loved our time at Discoveryland and highly recommend it!

We have absolutely loved our time with Marina and her teachers at Discovery Land! Our infant daughter started at the daycare in the middle of the pandemic and the team was extremely accommodating and made us feel very comfortable with the steps they were taking to keep everyone safe. The facilities are kept very neat and clean. Our baby was always well-fed, happy and with a dry diaper and clean clothes at pick up each afternoon. They handled bottle feeding great and then helped transition her fully to solids. At 18 months she graduated from the infant classroom into the 'big kids classroom' and has been happy as ever there! The teachers provide such a loving and fun atmosphere; lots of outdoor playtime in the safe backyard, lots of music, singing and dancing, lots of coloring and arts & crafts, and Spanish lessons. They go out the way to celebrate holidays and birthdays for each of the kids. Homemade healthy food and snacks every day (all meals are provided). They also recently helped potty train our daughter, which was such a huge help! Marina is great at sending photos throughout the day so we can feel part of all the fun our daughter is having, and she has always been easy to communicate with. Our kiddo absolutely loves Discoveryland, her friends there, and all the teachers. We are truly lucky to have this gem of a daycare in our neighborhood!

I cannot say enough good things about Marina and her team at DiscoveryLand. Our son Miles started there at 5 months old when I had to return to work and Marina made it such an easy transition. Meals and snacks were handled and we got frequent updates throughout the day. She’s also very willing to work with any specific needs your child might have. Miles was what they called a “happy spitter” and required additional steps during bottle feeding. We were confident he was in good hands. The best feeling was when we would pick him up and he would eagerly want to stay and play. We recently made the move to Oakland when miles was 1.5yrs, we were very sad and wish we could have figured out a way for him to stay. If you’re looking for a daycare in San Francisco, Marina and DiscoveryLand are the best!

Today was our last day at DiscoveryLand Daycare and I couldn't be more sad. Marina and staff have been like family to my daughter (2.5 yrs) and son (6 months). My daughter started when she was 16 months and has grown so much. The daycare has a great outside and indoor space, the facility is extremely clean and the kids have fun activities throughout the day. Healthy food is also provided which make it so much easier for us busy working parents. I can't say enough good things about Marina and DiscoverLand, they are truly the best and we are going to miss everyone. Thank you Marina for providing so love and the best care to my children. DiscoveryLand will always have a special place in my heart!

Marina and her staff are real Earth Angels who took my step-daughter in with open arms and hearts. My husband and I were looking for quality daycare in the Sunset neighborhood mid-school year since our 4 year old started living with us full-time. When I scheduled the tour with Marina, my husband and I fell in love not only with the facility and school itself, but with Marina's charisma. Her passion for care-taking is visible in every detail in the school. Thanks to Marina and her fabulous teachers, Olivia is now speaking English fluently (when she started she only spoke Portuguese), Spanish, developed interest in song and dance, and improved her motor skills through drawings. I highly recommend Marina's daycare Discoveryland as your friendly neighborhood daycare!

Both of our daughters attended Discovery Land before starting preschool and we were so pleased with our experience. What I love most about the Discovery Land staff is that its clear how much they genuinely care for the children. They have a great outdoor space and their indoor space is clean and organized. They offer the right amount of structure and activities for the kids: working on letters and numbers, celebrating holidays and regular Spanish class and music class. And Marina always shares pictures with us during the day. When you're sending your child to daycare for the first time its important to feel confident in your child care choice. It was obvious that our girls were so happy during the day which was most important to us. We're incredibly grateful for our three years at Discovery Land.

My son has been going to Discoveryland for a couple of months now. Discoveryland cooks nutritious organic meals for the children. My son before Discoveryland had a limited vocabulary and is now talking up a storm! Every weekend he talks about his daycare friends and teachers, and even tries to go to daycare on the weekend. With all of the activities, curriculum, and outdoor time the kids are constantly engaged. Marina keeps me very informed about everything to do with my kid and notices even the smallest changes. Discoveryland has become our family and we are excited to send our daughter there shortly!
