Childcare and pre-kindergarten program focused on helping children develop strengths and cultural awareness through hands-on experiences. Program offers dual language classrooms that provide instruction in both English and Spanish evenly throughout the day. Curriculum follows the Reggio Emilia approach and encourages learning through discovery and exploration and classrooms are inspired by the Anti-Bias curriculum which celebrates all differences and children are encouraged to be active and curious in learning and development process. Learning areas include dramatic play, science, blocks, a writing center, book/library area, creative expression and art, math, manipulatives, music, sensory enrichment, and hands-on exploration. All children play outdoors on age-appropriate playgrounds which incorporate organic materials and nature play. Educators work alongside children to build upon interests to develop classroom projects and areas of study. School has an open-door policy and welcomes families into program to share traditions and interests.
