Clean and bright classrooms, new and well-equipped playground with a lot of play sets and lots of fun! We knew this is our daycare when we first visited Encounter last November. And after 6 months, we couldn't be happier with our child's stay here. The teachers here are professional, attentive, and caring. The director, Elizabeth is very experienced and knowledgeable in child early education. Unlike most other daycares which only offer 5-day schedule, Encounter offers flexible schedules for you to choose from, and the tuition is reasonable too. My son has been to another daycare before, and he suffered from pretty bad separation anxiety there, but with Encounter, he has adjusted himself so well~ he has made a lot of friends here and every morning, he wakes up and can't wait to go to school, which really surprises me. Furthermore, they have a great online portal which you can see the updates on the status of your kids, and their school projects are full of diversity. We really appreciate all the great work they have done, Elizabeth, Rolisha, Ms. Burke, Faithe, and Lexi, your kids are in the best hands!

We came across Encounter after a recommendation from another parent who recently was looking in the area, and they got it right. Encounter is welcoming, attentive, and well-run. We saw improved communication skills within weeks, so it's clear that development is a priority. And when you come to pick up your young child, and they wave, smile, and go back to playing with their friends, you can tell they agree! Highly recommend 👍

My two children (3 months and 4 years) started attending Encounter in early May. We feel so lucky to have found this school! I initially reached out to Elizabeth at Encounter after seeing a facebook post in a local mom's group. The school is fantastic! The teachers are so caring- my 4 year old son immediately loved his teacher and classmates. He comes home ready to share about all the activities he does each day. The space is clean and the director is welcoming, approachable, and highly organized.

Our son who just turned 3 started at ELC in April and we couldn't be happier. Since day 1, he's loved going to school, is learning so much, and is having so much fun with his new friends. He comes home singing new songs everyday and he's speaking in more sentences all the time. We're so impressed with the Director and the program she has put together. She has extensive early childhood experience, is amazing with kids (our son is obsessed with her), and is in consistent communication with families. She already knows our son on a personal basis, his likes and dislikes, and notices the growth he's made in a short amount of time as well. The physical space is beautiful, spacious, clean, with lots of natural sunlight. Their program is play based and there's a great app that updates you on what they're learning everyday so we can talk about it and look at pictures that night. They have a great playground and go outside several times a day as well. We highly recommend ELC!

We LOVE Encounter, and so does our son! From our first visit, Elizabeth (the director) was warm, welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, and a truly calming presence. It always feels like a bit of a leap of faith to start your child at a new school, but Elizabeth made it so much easier. The school is small enough that she (and the teachers) really know each child, their likes/dislikes, and personality. The staff is highly communicative about what’s going on, which I appreciate. The facility is new and clean, and the staff take great care to ensure high sanitation standards which is so important during these COVID times (and always!). I would absolutely recommend Encounter to anyone in the area.

My son has been with Encounter for the last 6 months. My husband and I feel so lucky to have found this gem!!! Our son has been thriving and adores his friends and teachers. His vocabulary and skills have exploded and we are always blown away by the daily progress we see. They are so communicative and we so love and appreciate the pictures and updates we receive throughout the day. It really feels like a 2nd home to him. Everyone is always positive and seems genuinely happy to be there - kids and teachers alike, which of course makes us feel so good and assured that he is in the best of hands!!!

We LOVE ELC. We recently moved to Dedham and needed to find a new daycare for our toddler. We actually spent about 4 months driving back and forth to Brookline (30+ mins each way in traffic!) because we couldn’t find a place we liked enough to switch. We stumbled upon ELC and immediately knew it was the right place for us. Ms. Elizabeth (director) is so warm and inviting and it is clear that she cares greatly about the students and her employees. All of the teachers are so caring and excitedly share daily updates or new milestones - such as new words or skills. We are so grateful to have found ELC and I can’t recommend it enough!

Encounter is a great center! We are so happy we found it through one of the mom Facebook groups in town. The facilities are brand new and extremely clean, with amazing teachers and a great playground. Every day my kids do a new project or craft and they love it and learn so much. We enrolled our 2 year old and also added our 4 year old for the summer since we love it so much. Can’t recommend encounter enough!

We have been with Encounter Learning Center since they opened and couldn't be happier. Our son LOVES his teachers, his new friends and the new things he learns every day. He spends the entire car ride home telling us all about the different things he has learned that day, including new artists, books and sign language. The center itself is modern with big open rooms and a nice playground outside for the kids to play in. We are very happy to be part of the Encounter family!

The teachers at Encounter Learning are simply the best! They are warm, caring, and understand children and their development. Our two young sons instantly fell in love - with the staff, the facilities and the program. My husband and I love that there are learning outcomes associated with the curriculum, but we also love that our boys feel at home there. We also appreciate that teachers work on age-appropriate life skills - sharing, taking turns, being a good friend and helper, listening, and developing empathy for others.
