There is also an indoor play area. I have chosen this curriculum because children learn best in a play environment where they can feel safe, nourished and loved. The children learn their colors, ABC's and 123's in a fun & stress free way. I encourage them to have confidence in their physical abilities, and I love to see them grow in their self confidence. I am a former preschool teacher with a degree in Early Childhood Education & Child Development.

Our son has been with Joy full time since he was 5 months old. Joy has taken great care of both him and us while we figured out being parents. She is always patient and flexible and has established an excellent relationship with our family. We will continue to stay with Joy as long as we can, and one day hope our second child can have the same experience.
Joy has been fantastic to work with. Our daughter is 20 months old and is very well cared for, has fun with other kids and comes home happy at the end of the day. Joy sends daily pictures of our daughter so we can see what she's up to, which has been great. Joy is kind, a clear communicator and we are very happy with the care that she has been providing.
We have had our two children with Joy from infant to pre-school and have had such a lovely time. Both of our kids absolutely love her and the doggies! Our toddler who currently in the care of Joy asks to go to "Joy Joy's" every morning. Joy provides the kids with so much love, a safe space to play freely outside, and always makes the right decisions for each child. We love Joy Joy!
Our son has been with Joy since he was about 4 months old (he’s now almost three!). As a first time mom, I was extremely anxious to leave him, but had to get back to work. After a few weeks, I saw how much my son enjoyed seeing her and started to get excited about day care. As, he’s gotten older, and into more toddler years, her patience and expertise has helped tremendously!
Joy Eriksen has been taking care of our son since he was old enough for daycare, because both myself and partner work. She has been so great, helping us raise our child more than any other single person in our lives. Joy's got a background in child development, decades of experience, hundreds of families as happy clients, has been flexible, reliable, good natured, and also affordable for us and close by in Novato. Bonus is that our child loves her and her dogs too! She sends daily photos and he's always so happy and smiling. Sometimes I wish the kid would stay his age and Joy could care for him indefinitely. He likes his cohort of other kids, and has progressed from the baby in the bassinet to the oldest kid there. It takes a lot for us to trust people with our child, and Joy has been absolutely wonderful. We couldn't have done it without her. Highly recommended.
