Our family has had a first Lutheran pre-schooler for 3 years. We chose First Lutheran not only based on faith but, content of the program. Our Kindergarten child this year was prepared and ahead of her class as far as knowing words, letters and numbers. The staff is awesome and truly cares about the Childs spiritual growth and fundamental knowledge base. The teaching environment is conducive to learning educational and spiritual values. First Lutheran Church Preschool is an exceptional option for preschool in Kearney, NE. We have been so fortunate to have all four of our children attend the 3-4 year old class as well as the 4-5 year old pre-K class. We chose FLC preschool because our children not only received a great education but they also gained social skills as well as a larger and stronger love for God. To be able to have God and Jesus shared daily with our children at preschool was so important for their Christian foundation and journey. Having this foundation built for each of our children has helped them to be better students, better friends and all around better individuals. Each of our children learned social/emotional skills, respect, responsibility, honesty, relationship skills, confidence and the list goes on. When they entered Kindergarten they were well prepared and the transition was seamless due to the knowledge and learning they received at FLC preschool. The teachers and staff at FLC are so welcoming and care about each and every child. They are family-focused and encourage family participation in events, field trips and classroom activities. We would recommend FLC Preschool to any family looking for a loving caring Christian environment for children to thrive in.

Our family loves First Lutheran Preschool! The teachers are so warm and welcoming and prepare the kids with skills to succeed in Kindergarten! The pastors and church staff are engaged with the children also, so you know a whole community cares for your child when they are there. We really appreciate the Christian focus throughout the curriculum and feel it sets up an environment for the kids to have fun and spread kindness!

We absolutely love First Lutheran Preschool! We have sent all five of our children to school here and have felt that they were very prepared for Kindergarten. They not only learn letters, colors, sigh words and academic skills, but they are more prepared for the world socially. They learn manners, etiquette and common courtesies. And the greatest part is that it is a Christian learning environment for our children as well, which supports our beliefs and values at home. After having our children in attendance at First Lutheran Preschool for the past eight consecutive years, our youngest are ready for Kindergarten. This is an exciting time and next step, however we are sad that this chapter of our lives is closing and will forever love our First Lutheran Preschool family.

Our family has been so blessed to have found the amazing program and teachers at First Lutheran Preschool. My son is in the Pre-K program and absolutely LOVES it. He is always anxious to go to school and when I pick him up, he cannot stop talking about all the fun they had and showing off all the new things he's learned. I have no idea how they are able to pack so much education into each day, while also finding the time for so many fun activities, crafts, songs, etc., but to say I've been impressed is an understatement. I can't thank the teachers enough for making my son's first school experience such a positive one and setting him up to be so excited and well-prepared for Kindergarten this coming year. Looking forward to my other children attending when they old enough too. Highly recommend this program!

I’ve had two children attend First lutheran and have not regretted my decision once to send them there. My daughter did one year in the preschool and is currently in her 2nd year in their pre-K class. She turns 6 this summer. The amount of knowledge she has gained and the confidence has grown has been amazing to watch. The conversations we have almost seem unbelievable, she will come home talking about space, poisons, God, plant grow, loving everyone around us, Etc. first Lutheran does an amazing job of hitting on all topics to keep kids interested and engaged. They always have projects that they come home with and papers so you can see how well their writing is developing. My youngest is in his first year of preschool right now and is excelling so well. I’m excited to see how well their program has set them up for kindergarten. I highly recommend First lutheran for both preschool and pre-K !!
