Parent Reviews
My daughter has been at FUMC for 3.5 years. The school is wonderful. Pre-COVID, we walked the kids into the classroom and picked them up each day. It was nice to talk to the teachers to hear how my daughter's day went. They have chapel altogether once or twice a month. My family is not religious at all. We don't feel like the school is too religious. She sings Jesus songs and tells us occasionally about a Bible story she learned. The teachers are so wonderful and caring. Briefly, my daughter went to another preschool that had infant classrooms for her brother. The teachers were nowhere near as outgoing or caring as the FUMC teachers. We ended up transferring our daughter back to FUMC because she was so miserable at the other school. Thankfully, the daycare director, Yvonne, found a spot for her rather quickly in the middle of the year. The school allows any food for lunch in your kid's lunchbox, which is nice wince my daughter won't eat sunbutter. They have catered lunch on Wednesdays for $5 per week (CFA and pizza rotating). That's nice to not have to pack lunch every day. We will send kid #2 to this school when he's old enough. We love the school! Since COVID, they don't let anyone dropping off or picking up past the front door. The teachers wear masks, but the kids don't have to. That makes me very nervous, but they have been very lucky to not have an outbreak so far.
