As our daughter finishes her first year at GFS - Center City, I can confidently say that the school excels on every metric! The character, credentials, and experience of the teaching staff are unmatched. The small class sizes and tight-knit community made for a seamless school transition. Our daughter’s class has become her second family! We often schedule spontaneous playdates or weekend gatherings, because the parents have become as close as the children. I have also been blown away by the richness of the early childhood curriculum, which emphasizes social-emotional skills, play-based learning, and foundational academic concepts. I can’t think of a better way to prepare students for future success – both in school and in life. And, because of its connection to the GFS Main Campus, the school offers resources that few preschools can – not only facilities and specialized staff (e.g., school counselor, nurse) but also a rich array of specials, extracurriculars, and after-school clubs!

We have had a fantastic experience at GFS! Our child has grown so much this year, and the teachers are so attentive to his individual needs. He comes home talking about how much he loves his teachers, and they really go the extra mile to make every day special and encourage his special interests in passions. He has so much more confidence in himself now, walking around saying things like, "I can do hard things" because of what he's learned at school. There is a real focus on the social and emotional skills that will set him up for success in life, and the school has helped foster wonderful friendships with classmates. It is a great, inclusive school community, and these friendships continue as families gather for playdates outside of school as well. GFS is also setting him up with strong academic skills in a very developmentally appropriate way. He is learning so many foundational skills that will ensure he is ready for kindergarten in a way that is infused with joy and play. Our son loves GFS and so do we!
