We were extremely lucky to have found Grandma’s Family Daycare, and are forever grateful to Wendy and her family. My eldest daughter joined her care at 13 months and I am in absolute awe of how much she has grown since. She started as a shy, wary little girl, and now she comes home singing new songs at the top of her lungs and filling our home with endless laughter and chatter. The girl who would stare people down and hide behind her parents is now the first to give someone a hug when saying goodbye. I credit Wendy who taught her to share, be affectionate, and trust other children. She will be moving onto preschool where, even though she will be the youngest in her class, she is more than prepared thanks to Wendy and her family. Our youngest will be attending soon and we are excited to see her transformation as well!

I couldn’t recommend Wendy’s Family Daycare highly enough! We sent our daughter there when she was just 7 months old, and after the very first drop-off, I knew she was in the right hands. She’s now almost 2 years old and gets so excited walking up to the front door every morning. It’s been so special to see how happy and comfortable she is there, and we’re incredibly grateful to have found Wendy’s. We feel so lucky to be part of this little loving community!

We can’t say enough good things about Grandma’s Daycare. Our daughter Kiera attended a few mornings a week for the 10 months before starting preschool, and the difference it made was clear. Wendy (a retired nurse) and her team are wonderful with the kids. They taught Kiera how to share toys, take turns, and follow a group routine, and by the time she started preschool, the social transition was seamless. If you’re looking for quality part or full time childcare with real preschool prep built in, this is it. Happy to answer questions for anyone considering it.

We sent our son to grandma‘s from 14 months until two years 10 months, and I can definitively say it was the best parenting decision we have made. Wendy, the director, is a former RN, and is extremely attentive to health and safety. Just as importantly, she creates an environment of clear boundaries and lots of care and love. Our son learned how to communicate kindly, share, take turns, and value friendships. He always wanted to go to Wendy’s (particularly on water play days!) and would literally run towards the gate when we got there. There is no better feeling as a parent than knowing you are dropping your child off somewhere where they are safe, loved, and happy. Grandma’s prepared our son very well for preschool…. We are just so sad to leave Grandmas’s!

I cannot say enough good things about Grandma Wendy’s Family Daycare. Both of my children are currently enrolled, although my oldest, B, is graduating this fall to attend San Anselmo Preschool. He is more than prepared for this next chapter, and I truly credit Wendy and her amazing team for helping him get there. Watching my kids go from crawling babies to thriving, caring little people with incredible vocabularies has been one of the coolest experiences. They come home singing songs we’ve never taught them, talking about their friends, and showing kindness in ways that make me so proud. I still remember the first time my first-born started playing pretend. I was completely floored because we hadn’t done much imaginative play at home. The same goes for my daughter. She started with Grandma Wendy at such a young age, and she has grown into the sweetest, most generous little girl. Grandma Wendy’s Family Daycare teaches so much more than just the basics. The kids learn how to share, be patient, show kindness, respect one another, enjoy music, and build confidence. When it came time for potty training, they never pressured us. Instead, they supported my son at his own pace and encouraged him every step of the way. The communication is wonderful, and everyone is so warm and welcoming. More often than not, I find myself lingering at drop-off/pickup just to chat because I’ve genuinely grown to love them. It is hard to imagine a better place for my children to spend their days. We are incredibly grateful for Wendy and her team, and I recommend Grandma Wendy’s Family Daycare without hesitation. We were lucky enough to snag an under-2 spot for both of our kids, but even if your child is over 2 and you’re looking for a warm, intimate setting to help them socialize before jumping into a larger preschool or daycare, I truly can’t recommend Grandma Wendy’s enough. Our experience at Grandma’s family daycare has been absolutely amazing, I honestly consider them a part of our family now. Our daughter started there when she was 1, and is now nearly three. She loves going everyday and has made some of her best friends there. Wendy is an unbelievably sweet, intuitive, and thoughtful caregiver and I’ve am so grateful I found a place I can trust completely with my daughter, where I know she is loved and cared for. I plan to send our second child there as soon as she is old enough ❤️

My son has been going to Grandma Wendy's daycare for over a year, and we couldn't be happier. We were a little nervous about how he would adjust, but he immediately felt at home. He loves going there and looks forward to going each day. She creates such a warm and engaging environment. He’s learned so many new things, from songs and stories to important social skills like playing with others and sharing with his friends. Finding Grandma Wendy’s daycare was one of the best things that happened to us after moving to Marin. As a first time mom with a one year old who was very stranger-shy, Wendy put us at ease immediately. She has a magical calming presence with the kids, and the daycare really feels like a big family. It is such a gift being able to drop off our son and know that he is loved and taken care of and having fun. In our year+ at Grandma’s Family Daycare, our son has transformed into a social & outgoing 2 year old. He comes home singing the ABCs and days of the week and so many songs we never taught him! We would stay with her daycare for as long as she’d let us if we were not moving.

Grandma’s is such a gem. I can’t say enough good things. We started when our baby was about 10 mos old which felt new and a little scary. From the beginning, Wendy was so inviting and really made an effort to work with us getting him in as soon as possible, as well as being understanding of our specific situation. This was such a refreshing change from our experience up until that point. Of course, as a first time mom I had concerns about all the normal stuff. Safety, sleeping arrangements, etc. etc. and the wonderful crew at Grandma’s very quickly eased our worries. They were happy to address all our concerns and explained their philosophy clearly. The space is clean, and play oriented. We got updates and pictures of what was happening throughout the day which I really appreciated. They offered our babe a loving and safe place to grow and play. He fell in love with everyone there and honestly, so did we. We lucked out big time finding Grandma’s. I Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a small, loving and safe family business to leave your little one with. They obviously haven’t been “discovered” by Marin yet, so get in while you still can!

We are so lucky to have found Grandma's Family Daycare. My daughter has been enrolled for nearly 18 months and we couldn't be happier. We get regular updates about her day and the staff are all extremely attentive to her needs throughout the day. They also work with us on everything from potty training to meal times to sleep schedules. I know she loves spending her days there and has a ton of fun (she literally RUNS from the car to get inside...), and it gives us such peace of mind to know that she's in good hands and is thriving. I cannot recommend Grandma's Family Daycare enough!
