Parent Reviews
We came from a wonderful Montessori preschool out of state and didn’t think we’d find another one we loved as much, but Guidepost Montessori at Deerfield has exceeded our expectations on every front. Two of our kids, ages 5 and 3, started in the Childrens House Spanish Classroom in Aug. 2023. The Lead Guide, Ms. Erika, is in tune with both of our kids’ personalities, emotional needs, and academic interests. My 5 year old became nervous when she first toured the classroom, and she started tearing up. Erika immediately got down to her level and asked her to help feed the fish. My daughter’s fear was gone in that moment, and it gave us a preview into Erika’s deep awareness and sensitivity. She is supported by two other wonderful guides who also know our kids very well. If my kids are having a hard time separating in the morning, every guide has stepped in on different occasions and offered an activity they know that kiddo loves, so they happily walk into the classroom. Both my kids are smiling and happy when I pick them up at the end of every day. One big highlight is when I pick them up after lunch (they do half-day), and see the class sitting and listening to one of the students lead story time, telling a story from their imagination. It’s a beautiful scene to observe. More things we love: - Outstanding teachers/guides to provide both emotional and academic support. They truly know and care about the kids. - Special events in the classroom on a regular basis, e.g. pumpkin carving, Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, parent-led story time. - Perfect amount of communications from the leadership team. Ms. Nikki and Ms. Jessica are highly responsive and professional. - A few daily photos from the classroom. - Huge variety of Montessori works to choose from, not to mention a robust outdoor playground. - Immaculate school and classrooms, especially during cold & flu season. - Ton of events/activities to build community with the other Guidepost families.
Our experience with Guidepost Montessori at Deerfield has been amazing. Our daughter started at the toddler - Spanish immersion program just a few months ago and she’s loving it. Since the beginning, the guides and school staff have felt very welcoming to our questions and needs, and we have felt their support all the time. You feel how they care for the well being of all the children and every time there is a transition (meaning, starting school, changing class, etc.) they understand that it’s a process and they take the time the kids needs. They follow the Montessori philosophy to the point, and I’m glad they have all the backup structure that their “parent school” Guidepost offers, like having all guides certified. So thankful we’ve joined this school
We love this daycare. We recently moved to USA/Alphatetta and we did a lot of online research to find a good daycare for our toddler. Our toddler is very attached to us and routines at his old day care and this move wasn’t easy on him. It took a few weeks for our toddler to get adjusted to the new routine and daycare, but he loves this place now. Early on, it was very painful for us to drop him off everyday while he cried, but we knew he was in safe hands and needed some time to adjust. And now, we can’t even get him to go home with us at pickup time :). He loves his guides and also made a few friends. And it’s fun to watch him learn Spanish from the immersion program (we don't speak spanish at home). We are very grateful to Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Maria from Spanish immersion classroom and Ms Nikki and Ms Jennifer who helped a lot with our toddler’s transition.
We being new parents and having our one and half year old always at home with our nanny , it was difficult to find a daycare / Montessori that we really liked. We looked at at-least 7-8 daycares and Montessori’s around the Alpharetta and Johns Creek area.We came across guidepost Montessori. The reason we chose Guidepost is because it was very clean , extremely nice and welcoming staff and teachers. We started off our toddler as part time. The teachers sends us updates and pictures everyday. Our little one has never been happier. We have recently transitioned her into full time and she loves it. We see a lot of good changes in her ever since. We are so glad we found Guidepost Montessori and we feel extremely comfortable knowing that our little baby girl is happy and safe!
