Parent Reviews
I absolutely recommend this school to others. The care my child receives is evident when I hear her talk about her school and the pride she has in her guides as well as her work. The moment I knew I found a great school was when our director said my daughter helped a family feel welcomed on their tour as she lead a new student around and talked them through the different areas of the classroom. I couldn’t believe the leadership role my child felt comfortable taking. She feels comfortable to be herself, which is what any parent would want to have for their child! She loves the friends she’s making and the progress academically is far beyond where I thought she’d be. I love the class size and attention she can utilize, I love the community of students and parents that we both interact with daily, I love the head of school’s vision for learning and teaching others to be the best guides they can be. I have other places to compare to and I’m so thankful to be in a practicing Montessori school where children are thriving.
My five year old is entering his final year of the Children's House at Guidepost Montessori, Fairfax. The dedicated guides, especially the teaching head of school, are amazing. They are so warm, welcoming, and invested in the children. The teaching head of school is a true Montessorian, and my child is absolutely thriving. The class sizes are absolutely perfect and the parent community is also a big draw for us. It is clear that the guides are invested in the students and follow their lead when it comes to learning. I have seen other children, including those with special needs, absolutely blossom after our teaching head of school came on board. My child is always disappointed on Saturday and Sunday mornings when he doesn't get to go to school. The warmth that the guides and community provide make this school a very special place. They put in so much effort to put together family events, open houses, concerts, spring and fall festivals, and other special events. They clearly go above and beyond and love what they do.
Guidepost is a GREAT school for you child to attend! They are caring, knowledgeable, efficient, professional, happy and a very loving school. The entire staff makes you feel very welcomed from the moment you walk in the door. The children are always happy and very engaged while they are in the school. My child comes home every day excited about the new pieces of work that she has either learned or completed. We are very lucky that we found this school.
