Parent Reviews
Love the sons teachers and administrators at the front. Communication is phenomenal.
I am so thankful I found Guidepost! My son was at a daycare from 9m to around 2 years old, and we ended up having such a terrible experience towards the end of his stay there. I was immediately impressed when touring the facility! Watching the toddlers work independently, grabbing a watering can and filling it up in the sink on their own before walking over to a plant to water it really stood out to me. The classrooms are clean and uncluttered, and I loved seeing all the plants in the environment! My son started in their toddlers program, and is now in the Children’s House classroom with Ms. Dharini. I am so thankful every day that we found this school. My son is somewhat speech delayed, and has a lot of Big Feelings. Ms. Dharini is so kind and patient, but also holds boundaries and expectations (which my son definitely needs!). His speech has absolutely blossomed and he’s made so many friends! Which is something I really worried about having a speech delayed child. I loved the mixed aged classrooms, because I’ve seen firsthand how the older children have been so eager to help guide my son in the classroom as well. The independence that has been fostered at school has translated in so many ways at home as well. I am so appreciative of everything they do for my son at Guidepost!
Seeing my nephew be independent and talking so much is a pleasure.
Hands down THE BEST daycare. Our boy has been coming to Guidepost since it opened, and it has been the best experience every day. We enrolled our 3-month-old a couple of weeks ago, and they were all so understanding and sent us so many pictures. You know, the first day of daycare is terrible for all working moms, and they made me feel so good about it. I called them 10 times that week, and they were so nice and comprehensible.
We have been satisfied with our experience here. The location is convenient and the environment is well-maintained and conducive to learning. Erica, the boss-lady of the school, is knowledgeable, approachable, and seemingly eager to answer my questions even though I can be overly inquisitive. The staff is attentive. Ms. Nalini is amazing, she rallies my boy better than I can. I enjoy the daily updates. While they miss some updates on occasion, I can't blame them since they have their hands full! Wasn't a fan of a parking sign recently posted underneath the carport but it seems to have resolved itself. Another very minor issue is the number of codes needed to enter, & drop-off/pick-up if I don't have my phone. Feels like entering Fort Knox, while I appreciate the implication my child is worth his weight in gold, it can be a very very minor slow down in my morning if I'm in a rush. Truthfully, the extra security is welcomed! And in all honesty, the school is excellent. They focus on individual development, which has been beneficial for our son. He has developed a strong sense of curiosity and independence since attending, likely due to the emphasis on hands-on learning. 9.8/10 (-0.1 for sign & -0.1 codes)
I’m a first time mom so leaving my little man was nerve wracking but EVERYONE at Guidepost was amazing! Ryan is always smiling when I drop him off and pick him up! I highly recommend Guidepost, especially for new moms.
As a father of two children attending the school, I couldn't be more impressed with the care and education they receive. My girls are greeted every morning by the smiling faces of the staff we see in the halls. Our youngest is in the Nido program with Ms. Farinaz, Ms. Elena, and Ms. Britain, who provide a nurturing environment that help foster her independence and growth. Her teachers are kind, attentive and have strived to create a safe place for her. Our oldest is in the children's house community, with Ms. Nalini and Ms. Jordan, where the Montessori method really shines. The focus on independence, critical thinking, and hands on learning has fostered love for learning for our child. The staff is not only professional and well- trained, but they also genuinely care about each child's individual progress. The director is phenomenal, always approachable, and supportive, she truly cares about the school and everyone that walks through the door. I highly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Richardson to any parent looking for a supportive and enriching educational environment for their children.
As a working parent, I didn’t expect to be smiling so much during daycare drop-off - but I smile a lot at Guidepost Richardson as my daughter lunges for the teachers in the Nido classroom and is clearly so comfortable in the environment created by the staff at this location. The care shown to each child is the highest caliber in every classroom and I look forward to our daughter continuing to grow at Guidepost! Edited to add that I appreciate how Guidepost is true to the Montessori method - in Nido, my daughter is never in a container and is always interacting with other babies or her stellar guides (Ms Farinaz, Ms Eleina, and Ms Jordan are all rockstars!!).
We LOVE Guidepost Montessori at Richardson I cannot be more thankful of having Miss Érica, Mis Elena and Miss Jordan in our lives, our son used to go to another daycare we’re he dropped his weight percentile from 70% to 30% After 1 month in Guidepost and an amazing team effort, he is back on track on the 66%, he is napping once a day and he is always on a good mood. They are so TRANSPARENT an open for communication, we haven’t had any issues at all, on the contrary they send pictures very day and I have peace of mind that he is on the best care. My son loves being here, I can feel it and see it, the teachers and Director REALLY care🥰
