Our Spanish Immersion program offers children the gift of bilingualism in a nurturing Montessori environment. Led by native Spanish-speaking guides, children are immersed in the language through daily routines, conversations, and hands-on learning—developing fluency with natural intonation and accent. Alongside Spanish language acquisition, children engage in a full academic curriculum including math, reading, writing, and practical life activities. This early exposure not only strengthens cognitive development but also opens the door to a lifetime of cultural, social, and professional possibilities. Full-Time tuition listed. Parent Reviews
We love Guidepost Montessori at Wicker Park! Such a nice sense of community and quality of childcare. We love the quality of the staff - the care they clearly have for the children . The Montessori approach has been amazing for our 3 year old son - he has become so much more independent.
I cannot say enough good things about Guidepost Wicker Park. Our son has been in the Spanish Immersion program since May 2022 (when he was 2.5), and we have been so impressed with how much he has learned during his time there. In the Toddler room, he started to develop life skills, such as dressing himself, cleaning up his surroundings, treating others with respect. The classrooms are beautiful and PEACEFUL--a trick that the teachers manage that I continue to be astounded by. In Children's House (starting age 3), the environment is academic, rigorous, and nurturing. There is an emphasis on skills like literacy and numeracy, which we weren't necessarily prioritizing but have come to appreciate. It's extremely fulfilling to see how quickly he has picked up reading, basic writing, and even geography. Beyond this, he is a fluent Spanish speaker even though we don't speak Spanish at home. It is also extremely helpful that the hours provide a lot of daycare-like coverage. Unlike traditional schools, Guidepost is open almost every day, and they open early and end late. This is important to us, as we would likely not be able to attend Guidepost if it weren't also a childcare solution. Administration and teachers at Guidepost are also top notch. Whenever there is an issue, which is inevitable, they have been proactive with communications and quick to address the issues. Sending our son to Guidepost is not cheap, but it is a worthwhile investment in his education and formative life skills.
Our family has been attending Guidepost Montessori in Wicker Park since July 2018 and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the administration, guides, and other families. This is a place that emphasizes true child led learning, community, and respect for the individual. The guides show an immense amount of love for the children and genuinely enjoy their work. I can say this from experience with other programs as this is our 4th school after moving to different cities/states over the years. Guidepost Wicker Park is by far the most impressive. I wish all children had the privilege of attending such a strong school.
