Parent Reviews
Choosing child care can be an overwhelming task. You can spend months doing research, making lists, and visiting centers. Even with all these tools, most parents will say they went with the place that just felt right. I liked the Assistant Director at Guilbeau KinderCare right away. More importantly, so did my kids. On my son’s first day, the Teacher made a poster board with pictures of him throughout the day. He was all smiles. Three years later, I have four kids enrolled at KinderCare. From my infant to my four-year-old, they are all learning so much! I love how each month has a theme. I can easily tell what my kids are learning about from their vocabulary and art work. The Teachers always have something positive to say about my kids. They are very open with me if they feel one of them is struggling with something and always have a plan in place to help them with whatever that may be. When my son was diagnosed with a sensory disorder, Ms. Tara and Ms. Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable at school. They incorporated sensory activities into his daily schedule and helped the Teacher plan classroom activities that made it easier for him to participate. I love that KinderCare had so many resources available to them in a situation like this. I am so grateful for the patience, caring, and genuine concern they have shown for him and for all my children.
My son has been enrolled in the Cooking Adventures class for the last five months, and he loves it! He looks forward to his class every week, and tells everyone that we meet that he takes cooking lessons and can cook better than his mommy. I am very impressed with the class because of all the educational reinforcements he gets while measuring, counting, and preparing the recipe, and the supplementation of higher order sequencing, math skills, and vocabulary. I have seen a difference in him and his behavior in the kitchen since he started, as he is focused and easily directed when he helps me prepare anything to eat. At the end of every class, we get the recipe card of what was prepared for the day and pictures of him while he is constructing his masterpiece. He is so proud when I pick him up and he brings home his latest creation to share with the rest of the family, and even neighbors! I never would have thought that my three-year-old would be successful and productive in the kitchen, but this program has proved it can happen, and has given him a wonderful sense of pride and accomplishment that we all want our children to learn early and carry with them for a lifetime.
