Parent Reviews
My son was born premature and has always been fussy and needed a lot of attention. His caregiver (a family friend) gave us three days notice that she would not be able to keep him anymore due to relationship problems, and we were worried we would not find childcare. We looked at many different facilities. Some were Ok, but some were overcrowded, understaffed and dirty. KinderCare was on our list to look a. Haygood KinderCare is so friendly and clean. It was the only facility we both took one look at and agreed this was the one for us. There were no openings in the Infant room yet, but we wrote them a check for the deposit and went on the waiting list. We were told two weeks, and then they called us with an opening within the first week. It was the hardest decision to place our child in a childcare facility, but not everyone has a family member to watch their children. At first, I was cutting out of work early every day and calling them often to make sure my baby was doing well. I eventually calmed down, and within months we could see the positive changes in my son's growth. He was reaching milestones faster than before and he was a more sociable and a well-adjusted baby! He has gained weight and is no longer underweight. He is no longer behind his age group and is meeting milestones on time with his peers. His pediatrician has remarked at how great his progress has been and is extremely pleased with our choice to place him with KinderCare. The staff has even been caring and attentive with handling him after his surgery. He always comes home with new dances or games and is happy to go to "school" every day. We are extremely happy with KinderCare!
As a Mother of two I, like most parents, strive to surround my children with love, kindness and the best care possible. When I find something amazing I like to tell other parents about it and my experience with KinderCare at Haygood center is definitely worth sharing. My children and I moved here from Hawaii at the beginning of the year. My four year old son is special needs with speech disorder called "apraxia" and requires a lot of patience and attention. Before moving here he had only said a handful of words and was very difficult to understand. I was nervous to find a "daycare" to take care of him while I went back to work. We went through a huge transition moving here from Hawaii and finding new schools, speech pathologists and a new home. I could see in my children the affect this was having on them and I interviewed numerous child care centers before finding KinderCare. I signed them up for "child time learning center" and it took about a week until I got feedback that my daughter cried the whole time I was gone. I noticed the kids playing in big rooms filled with toys and not having any kind of curriculum or structure. I did not receive any work they did during the day or crafts and felt like this was just a daycare and nothing more. I searched for something more, this is when I found Shannon and JeVon at KinderCare I toured the facility and was very impressed with the classroom structure they created and the detail and care I saw the children receiving. I love that they follow a curriculum and have a daily schedule. My kids both bring home crafts and work they do in class on a daily basis. My daughter was twelve months old when she started at KinderCare. They made her transition smooth and she adjusted immediately! My son loves his teachers and they have worked so patiently and hard with him on his speech. In two short months he began talking more, writing his own name and knowing his numbers and the alphabet. The growth my kids have had is tremendous and the care they receive is priceless. Each morning when we walk through those doors my kids and I are greeted by every teacher and they receive hugs from everyone…. I cannot express how thankful I am for the care and love they receive at this learning center.
