My name is Ms. Laveau and I am proud to be one of Ms. James' clients from Home Away From Home Childcare LLC. I have been bringing my son Jaylen to Home Away From Home Childcare for seven years. As a single working parent, it was challenging to find a daycare service that was accommodating to my busy working schedule. Yet, once I found Home Away From Home Childcare, I was able to have the satisfaction of knowing that my son was attending a high-quality daycare that would aid him in his overall development, but also could still be accommodating to me as well. Ms. James prides herself in running an efficient service that caters to both her parents and the children in her care, which I greatly appreciate. The daycare is well sanitized, promotes high-quality learning that is adjustable for each child, welcoming, and overall a safe environment. My son Jaylen officially graduated from her daycare back in 2022, but he still attends her before and after-care service which she offers from 3pm to 6pm. When Jaylen first attended Ms. James' daycare, we were living in Newark, which was a much easier commute from my job in the city. However, when we moved to Bloomfield, I was worried that it would be difficult to manage dropping Jaylen off to school and still managing to make it to work on time. Yet, Ms. James was able to ease my worries by informing me of her before and after-care service which only charges parents a minimal charging fee bi-weekly. When Ms. James reached out to me regarding writing this letter of community support on her behalf, I was more than eager to lend a hand since she has been a prominent factor in my child's learning development. She has a wonderful and grounding connection with her parents along with the children in her care, which explains why my son loves coming to her daycare so much. Home Away From Home LLC is a wonderful daycare service that deserves this grant because this program is essentially for our community. We need more childcare services like Home Away From Home LLC which makes their life's mission to cater to our children with tailored learning, hands-on exploration, nurturing care, and being the home away from home that our children need.
